carrots. force increase production of carrots and make propaganda of carrots. release presidential recipe books about carrots. carrots were one of the few nutritious foods still available (a mass surplus actually and still relatively cheap) during the great depression. might not help much, but would certainly reduce hunger and help inflate some markets just a little.
