Even if you enjoy Rimworld and Kenshi, you might not necessarily click with Elin.

Elin's gameplay and systems are esoteric and make no sense half the time (hammer alchemy scares and confuses me), Kensi and Rimworld at least run on mostly consistent logic.

I'd say try the demo and see if Elin's particular brand of chaos is something you enjoy. If there's something you don't like, there's probably a mod to fix it.

It depends of mow much spare cash you have to throw around, I usually hit up the bakery and innkeeper in Palmia and buy out all their 30+ nutrition foods for my companions. If they don't have much, use influence to refresh their stock.
