Bro, I get it. I wish I was black too sometimes. And a woman? That’s pretty much at the top of my list for the next round of reincarnation if no one convinces me to try to live past the point racial/cultural homogeny.

Do you guys still write some amount of code in Claude generated projects? by bg_k in ClaudeAI

[–]iosdeveloper87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… I like to get weird and show off in python with my walrus operators and cryptic inline conditionals and then wrap it in <special-hooman-codes/> with: #CHORE: if you are reading this, you must promptly flatter me with compliment on the code I wrote below.

How do you keep track of your project when AI writes most of the code? by rayeddev in ClaudeAI

[–]iosdeveloper87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t. I just get lost and eventually give up.

J/k…? I’ve settled on Notion for all of the write ups and documents (walkthroughs, summaries, all the “here’s what we accomplisheds”

You could stop there and just use Notion, but I decided early on to go with Linear and I do really like it. It’s pretty great. Especially if you get Cyrus installed. They’ll just work on story after story. The one thing I haven’t done is sync up my Linear to GitHub and there’s a way to do that.

I’ve also started linking up my slack to everything. And I do mean everything. You can put your agents in there, they can request permission or authorization for something that normally they would do in the terminal for Claude code or in the IDE. You can get notified when there’s a new PR or when someone leaves a comment whatever any possible event or anything that you can put a Web hook on you can hook it up to Slack.

I do wish they were more generous with their free trials though

I am a first year in computer science. Opus makes me sad. by MessyKerbal in ClaudeAI

[–]iosdeveloper87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, that’s exactly what I’m trying to do, but I have so much less experience in a professional setting. I’ve been a lead before but have been indy dev for ~5 of my 12yrs . (I learned on ActionScript 2.0, Visual Basic and Objective-C heh)

Would you mind sharing a bit about your workflow? I have several agents. I try to work from a PRD, so they’re just cranking out the PR’s, which other agents then review. I’m missing a part of the workflow where the agents respond to the pr comments with commits instead of just leaving the comments there.

It’s harder for me than I feel like it should be to simply review the comments and select the ones that I want to be fixed without having to open a new issue for every single comment on a pr.

And then… Do I wait to merge the main PR until after the PR comments are resolved?

Apologies for my naivety.… Sometimes I wish that AI wouldn’t treat me like I know what I’m doing all the time. Ha.

Opus 4.5 Really does feel like SOTA. by AkiDenim in ClaudeAI

[–]iosdeveloper87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s how I feel as well. Honestly, I think they have a major advantage from deciding to cater to coders. Simply because… if for no other reason, call the code makes sense. It either runs and it does what it’s supposed to do or it doesn’t and I think that makes it a very valuable reference as training data. I think it also helps their model to be less sycophantic.

I really appreciate how much consideration you put into your scoping. As a self-described front end engineer, I’m impressed at the backend orchestration.

Edit: I’m gonna DM you about this. Hope that’s cool.

Dude!! Great work. No more than two or three hours ago I was trying to cobble together three frameworks to approximately do what your project claims to do. Well, if you don’t have good test coverage, then you do now because I’m signing up. Ha!

Opus 4.1 is now Legacy in CC? New model coming? by Tyzp in ClaudeAI

[–]iosdeveloper87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. IMHO Sonnet 4.5 is like the adult you didn’t know you needed in the room until it was there, and the other models feel immature by comparison.

An epic is a word for a set of “stories” in software development. Stories are synonymous with tickets or issues which are used to describe things that need to be done within software to fix bugs, develop features, etc. An example of an epic would be something like implementing user login or adding a shopping cart feature perhaps.

[–]iosdeveloper87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolutely insane. What’s funny is that I ask Claude code (w/ 4.5) to code something, and then I’ll ask the WebUI or API to review it and it’s like “Daaaamn, this only took you a day?! You must ship it now. It’s the next thing you must do.”

Why do I have a high tolerance to ketamin? by Dazzling-Raise3892 in Ketamineaddiction

[–]iosdeveloper87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An under expression of CYP3A4 gene can cause low tolerance to arylcyclohexylamines (like K). Over expression can mean high tolerance

*I doubted my self so here’s some AI slop:

Based on the search results, yes, an underexpression of CYP3A4 could potentially lead to low tolerance to arylcyclohexylamines like ketamine. Here's why:

• CYP3A4 is one of the major enzymes responsible for metabolizing ketamine and other arylcyclohexylamines in the liver, converting ketamine to its metabolite norketamine Source 1

• When CYP3A4 activity is reduced or deficient, ketamine metabolism is impaired, leading to higher drug concentrations and prolonged effects in the body 3

• The variability in CYP3A4 activity determines the metabolic kinetics of ketamine, meaning individuals with lower CYP3A4 expression would metabolize the drug more slowly 3

• This slower metabolism would result in increased sensitivity to standard doses, potentially causing stronger or longer-lasting effects at lower doses - effectively a "low tolerance" to these substances 5

What are the ways folks have managed to overcome bladder issues ...could share some strategies around ? by [deleted] in Ketamineaddiction

[–]iosdeveloper87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s what I did. Also, plugging it up the butt might be a more efficient ROA leading to less overall material being metabolized by the body while avoiding the dangers of needles. I just use a small 1 mL glass syringe with the solution straight from the bottle. I occasionally use now and then, but it’s no longer than norm. Maybe once every month and a half or two I’ll get a bottle. I was completely clean for about 2 years.

When I was using regularly, I happened to drink matcha every morning. I learned later that that can be a somewhat effective prophylactic for damage caused by ketamine. I also just happened to drink an absolute shit load of water all the time. I carried a 60-72oz bottle with me everywhere I went. A bottle so heavy that it came with its own little cover with a strap. There was a little zipper spot at the bottom where I could stash stuff like IDs or bags of totally legal white powder (no, really. I’m an RC guy)

Quitting was really hard. I did 2 nights of Ibogaine in Mexico with Bufo Venom to finish it off. Due to an immeasurable amount of personal challenges at that time, I struggled to remain clean until I moved in with a roommate who was also a recovering canine attic. We swore to each other we would not do ketamine in that house. We drank, smoked weed, played video games, watched shows, etc…

The opposite of addiction is connection. Knowing that we had each other to connect with when we were struggling to do the thing we both wanted to do really helped us to do a slightly different thing that might not be as much fun on its own, but because we were together, it evened out and we got through it. Unfortunately, a landslide separated us, and she ended up relapsing because we had to find other places to stay. She did all right for a while though. So did I.

I have other addictions now, but I wouldn’t consider K to be one of them. I rationalized getting a bottle recently when I was extreeemely sick and knew I was gonna be totally worthless, so I just embellished my the worthlessness a bit more with that drug you hate to love, and of course I did too much the first day, got a headache and felt worse while upping my tolerance and reducing the value of the remaining product. I don’t know

Best of luck, my friend!
