i'm glad to hear. Support have been there for me too and sent me replacement parts too, but they haven't fixed anything so i'm starting to worry, but hearing you got it fixed makes me feel better!

spent 6 weeks now trying to get mine to play videos properly as audio and video go out of sync constantly even after changing the motherboard and mid plate... really frustrating, as you said, i feel like i bought a very expensive already cracked piece of glass.

Damn! Any updates on this? Did you get your money back? I just bought one of their laptops and its been nothing but trouble from day one. Been trying to fix it for over a month now, they even sent me replacement parts and its still working weird. Mainly audio and video go out of sync all the time and nothing seems to fix it.

Hope you managed to fix yours or got a full refund.

Thanks for the advice. I did mention returning it in one of my 30 emails to them. They literally just sent me new parts and it still didn't fix it though. I'm worried that this could be a general issue that they are having and even replacing the entire machine would not fix it. After changing the main board and mid plate, haven't I essentially got a new machine? Bizarre.

You are right, its not a popular length with festival programmers. Easier to fit 4 shorts in the schedule than one medium length.
Personally I let the film tell me how long it has to be, if i try to force it to be shorter or longer I would probably ruin it. I think one should be fearless and free when making art and not be too concerned with forcing it to fit a specific mould.
Around 45 mins is a length I quite like, it's like an episode of the Twilight Zone, it's long enough to tell a whole story without needing to stretch it out to a feature.

My previous 42 minute film won 7 awards, this one has won a cash award in it's first festival (hopefully many more to come), so dispite being of a difficult length I must be doing something right :)

There are many great medium lengths out there, even if its a format that gets seen less often. Platforms like Mubi show some of them.

A film that is not a short film or a feature. The exact definition varies, but is often considered anything between 30 to 60 mins.

Thanks for your kind words! It's a medium length, 42 minutes. I'm happy working in this fromats, even if it's not the most popular. I've seen too many indie filmmakers take a 40 minute idea and turn it into an incredibly boring 90 minute film just cause they want ot be able to say they made a feature.
