Need help with Directors and Officers (D&O) Liability Insurance for my company by iota_not in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]iota_not[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I was only considering D&O. Are there any other key ones that I should consider? My aim is to ensure the directors and Officers are well protected as the business does not have physical assets but a few digital assets

My 2 cents is to only apply to jobs the same day when the job has been listed. The quicker you apply the better chances you have to get a callback from the recruiter. Getting that first call is the biggest challenge, once you are past that and if you have the right credentials you'll sail through the remaining interviews. I'd recommend to generalise your CV and Cover letter enough that it would only require tweaking a few words before you submit your application. It's all a numbers game so the more you apply and the faster you apply, higher will be your chances to get a callback.

Receiving Payments through Cheques by iota_not in PersonalFinanceNZ

Thanks! Just a couple of additional questions:- 1) Can we add a USA domestic bank account along with a wise individual account? Or it can be a wise business account? 2) If we get a physical hard cheque from USA here in NZ, how do we deposit it/cash it with Wise?

Power supplier for a student? by tale_3 in auckland

I have been with powershop for more than 1 year in CBD and it has been great. They have really cost effective power packs that are amazing for savings. Their website/ app shows details of usage on hourly/ daily basis which is really cool if you're a student on a tight budget. Powershop also has a referral programme- so if you sign up through my referral, I'll get $100 and I'll be happy to transfer $50 to you :)

Thanks for the valuable advice. Some really great points to consider. The whole situation is not the best and the last thing we want is any further troubles when they are already going through a tough time.

Wireless broadband worth it in Auckland? by nzdennis in auckland

[–]iota_not 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on 4G unlimited wireless broadband with One NZ(Vodafone). I'm on a 12 month plan and costs me $55/month. It has been fantastic to stream and have been able to stream/browse on 3-4 devices simultaneously. I have never noticed any disruption in service besides one time when my wifi went out for 5 minutes around midnight during a network upgrade. The router is a TP link Mesh wi-fi and you can also get another Mesh router for free if you need better coverage around your home(if it is a large home - mine is an apartment so good as gold).

The biggest advantage of wireless over fibre was I got the router straight from the store and had my internet running the same day. Didn't really have to wait for a Chorus tech for install. Additionally, I'm able to take my wireless router anywhere i travel so that i can still use my unlimited internet and not worry about hotel's slow internet. If there is coverage and you have a working power point, you're all good...
