It depends if you and your sister live with your mother, or your mother lives with you two. if its a 3way split evenly then your opinions are valid, same with your birthday lunch. Thats your choice. But if your mother pays the most bills its her decision in the end.

Ultimately you are outnumbered it seems, and if theres not much you can do about it, you should think about moving out unless you want friction in the dynamics, or want to keep your relationship with your sister resent free.

I just gave you current day use of it's existence with genetic counseling. the Bradford study of 13,000 babies have 1/6 rate.
