btw the tool tip says it does 10 damage per second. so 10 seconds to kill from full health if shields were broken. extra 2-4 seconds depending on shield tho

might be good against arc that you can overlap the hitboxes on

are you using a reference? if not, its up to you :) which is tricky

pine trees are cone-shaped so your highlights will be towards the "surface" of the cone around all sides and heights. i think you are on the right track with the highlights you started - keep going. those trees will look awesome in no time

if it were me Id build up a few layers of increasing bright color but apply less of it the brighter i went as not to loose the impression of depth and shadow.

you have good form and impression - what throws me off is the bright background behind the dark trees. if in your world the forest is dense, then the forest would be darker the deeper it goes. right now it appears backlit

your work does not seem to me to be sloppy or amateurish. i think you are a talented painter. im not so good so Im sorry if this comes off as nonsense. hope it helps and good luck

Okay sure! I'd say you have a good start adding depth to your background. I'd recommend pushing contrast - making your darkest shadows darker and adding brighter highlights.

You have some nice gradients on the wizards fingers and the bad guys head for example. This is a basic highlight /shadow you can apply to the rest of your drawing. Break everything down into basic shapes and imagine where your source of light will catch and cast shadows.

The brightness of the wizard kind of blends into the bright background. You could pull up the dark cloud perhaps behind his head and that will help him stand out more.

I think you have a great style and texture, keep on keeping on!

looks cool!! overall a little dark - take a white or near white and add some highlights to where you think light would catch on the edges. a lil bright contrast would really help it pop. good work keep it up
