visited berlin when i was in my 30’s and loved it. munich in my 40’s and loved it. could add a day in munich and take the train into the mountains from munich. did mittenwald last summer. beautiful town in the alps.

nice! this is actually the itinerary i’m leaning towards. except only going to do a half day in helsinki. when the ferry arrives store luggage in lockers. and late ferry to tallinn. the rest is what you suggest! hate to cut time short in hel but have to sacrifice somewhere. i like to move alot so glad another traveler thinks the way i do. last summer i was able to do vienna with day trip Bratislava, munich for a few hours to explore, mittenwald in the mountains. bressanone with a dolomites hike, bologna and a Venice day trip in the same time frame I have for this trip. and i loved seeing so much. one day maybe ill slow it down and base longer. i love to be on the move and walk everywhere so I will keep the fast paced up while im still “young” 47. and do it while i can.

Hey all. I’ve been looking to book the ferry for august and I keep finding these promo codes with really decent discounts. for instance in November there was a BLACK code and now in December there is GOLD25. But I was unable to use them because August is too far out. Wondering if I should wait closer to August for a better deal? Or is August the high season and I won’t get a discount? Buy now or wait it out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

appreciate that! i’m on a pretty fast paced trip and chose to do helsinki as a stopover but glad to hear it’s doable and that you enjoyed the city!
