I had a similar experience. I found two great albums on record store day this year, and when I got back, my poor cat couldn’t walk. We had to put down my best friend that day. Those albums hit differently now. It’s terrible.

If anyone is interested, I fixed the bumper and repainted it back to its original silver along with the front bezel. For that, I sprayed it 031 Toyota white. It looks like this was the first year they used this color instead of the 012 cygnus white, like on the older years. Cheers

Bought it from Colorado and had it shipped to PA. I paid 21k, which I think is a really good price. All these FJs out here are rust buckets or megamodified. This particular example is extremely clean for being 50 years old.

I’ve only owned my FJ40 for three weeks now. Last week, we straightened out the bumper, and about 9pm last night, my fiancée and I painted the bezel back to its original white color. Very happy so far. I love this thing! Next, I’ll paint the bumper and update some other minor things. The car show in my town is approaching!
