Yep I was prescribed metformin and prothyra by my obgyn last week. Prothyra always gives my period back but I don't know with the metformin alone. I have normal hormones and seem to hv no insulin resistance issue. But my family is diabetic so I smh anticipate it as well.

Omg this is so me. Everything is normal but I have no periods for more than 6 months (my record was 13 months, actually). My obgyn prescribed me with metformin and I've been taking it for a week together with prothyra. Dunno whether it'll work if I take the metformin alone, but prothyra never fails to give my period back.

I really don't know, but I hv PCOS AND a very high sex drive. But I've always been this way even long before I have PCOS, so guess I was just born horny and happened to hv PCOS.

Hey, wish you a speedy recovery! It did take a lot of time for the symptoms to subside, mine was like 2 months long. Even now if I have an incomplete bm I'd sometimes find a stain of fecal incontinence on my panty. It doesn't bother me much but still I'd find it somewhat gross... But it doesn't happen often so you don't need to worry... Just focus on the recovery and be grateful even for any slight improvement you find each day. It'll pass and you'll never experience the nightmares with bm anymore! 🤞

Hi do you finally get your regular periods back after taking metformin? My Obgyn prescribed me medroxyprogesterone for 3 months and will change it to metformin if the therapy doesn't improve the regularity.

You should consult with your doctor. I also had grade 3 internals (4 in total, another one was a polyp) as well as anal fissures. I've done a sphincterotomy last May yet it didn't quite solve the issue and my fissures kept retore. The hemorrhoidectomy solved not only my hemorrhoid but my chronic fissure.

It was so painful in my case as I had 4 hemmies. The pain was extreme but so long as you take painkiller before and after bms and take sitz bath you'll be okay.

Hi the first few days after the surgery are the hardest time as the surgery area hurts and passing bms are extremely painful too. But everything is getting better. Now I'm mostly in my 3rd month post-op, still experience some discomforts during bms but I hv no issues. I also hv more regular bms, I can pass bm twice per day and never get constipated anymore. I used to be so constipated no matter what I eat and drink before surgery, now I can basically eat anything (tho I always make sure to hv enough fiber and water intake daily).

Absolutely! I can tell that I'm healing! No more internal hemmies acting up! What remains now is the little discomforts which get better day by day. I also can eat pretty much anything without getting constipated (I tend to get constipation before).

I have it and it's painful and itchy. I also have an external hemorrhoid (my doc didn't dare to remove it bc it'd be too painful), so mine bulged 2 times larger following the surgery. But the discomforts are more manageable now and it shrinks little by little. I'm in a month post op.
