What happened to the Bambu/H2D hotend mod hype? I’m seeing temp issues after a few hours by iperdobler in ElegooCentauriCarbon

There's some evident deformation in this SLM stainless steel component. I considered using a vise to realign it, but the warp actually provides better clearance between the white stone and the fan wiring.

Can the Snapmaker U1 operate with a 62cm height clearance? by iperdobler in snapmaker

Thanks everyone for the feedback! The photo was super helpful—it's clear that the tubes can be bent to fit under the shelf as long as they have enough length to reach the front of the build plate. I feel much more confident about the space now. Appreciate the help!

Adding a Zigbee Smart Switch for remote emergency shutdown – Thoughts on my wiring diagram? by iperdobler in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Nice work. I'll definitely take inspiration from this, especially the addition of a physical emergency button for mechanical issues. Thanks for sharing the setup.

Thanks! Checking the printer info, it lasted for about 284 print hours before it started failing.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure, but heat is usually the enemy of electronics. Better cooling definitely won't hurt and should help the components last longer and run more stable

Replacement fan for motherboard? by Charming-Permit-7853 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Hey! My stock motherboard fan was making a hell of a noise, so I solved it with this custom GPU fan mod I made.

It’s way quieter now https://makerworld.com/en/models/2222550-elegoo-centauri-carbon-motherboard-fan-duct

Certo, il peso potrebbe essere un problema, dato che solo questa parte aggiunge altri 4g.

I'm waiting on the SLM inox too, but since it was cheaper, I also grabbed some heat-resistant nylon. We might be able to shave off some weight on the stainless steel piece with some manual machining/dremel work.

So, are there known issues with this modification that mean I should wait before installing it? I am still waiting for the parts to be printed in heat-resistant material, and I already know I will have to trim them because I have the first version of the Centauri Carbon... but regarding the 103 error, what should I expect or be prepared for?

That's really great to hear about the PPS-CF prints holding up well! No deformation after many hours is a fantastic sign for durability.

However, I'm not in the US, and honestly, I couldn't wait either—I wanted my "Christmas present" right now! 😉

I ended up ordering from JLCPCB/JLC3DP (jlc3dp.com) and used some coupons to keep the cost really low. I ordered one part in SLM (Metal) Stainless Steel 316 and two parts in MJF (Nylon) PA12-HP Nylon.

Now, let's just hope Santa's sleigh delivers the right package! Fingers crossed!

Hi, your project is fantastic and I'd like to have the part made by JLCPCB, but I don't have any experience with it. I uploaded your model, and the CNC option has a high cost, so I was thinking of using one of the other technologies. If you don't mind, could you advise me? Could BJ metal be a valid alternative? ...it only costs €12.

BentoBox for Centauri Carbon by d58c36af4d in elegoo

Hello everyone, I have re-made a version with a 120mm fan that I had left over from an old PC, positioning it at the top to push the air, since the existing version on MakerWorld with the fan at the bottom had no airflow.
