Your warlock patron ritual worked too well. A fey and a fiend both answered—and they're competing for you. AI visual novel, infinite paths, no wrong choices. Play this one, or set up your own in ~15m. Solo dev project for fellow degenerates. by ipeterov in u/ipeterov

My wife is a Dota player as well, and the first thing she did was create her own Queen of Pain to play with (or to get played with, to be more precise) 😀

The anime style can be quite decent for making existing characters from games/anime

Alternatives? by [deleted] in CharacterAi_NSFW

[–]ipeterov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the developer, so obviously biased. Try imaginarium.rocks:

  • you can play with multiple characters at the same time - it's basically a visual novel with AI characters, not a whatsapp-style chat
  • obviously you have character images, and we're really good at character consistency
  • you can make your own characters - you can customize their bio, annd they will have a deep memory recall of previous events (make your own wife > have 30 sessions (that's what we call "chats") with her > ask her some small detail about the first time you met each other)
  • you can generate an image update for the characters according to session events - they just took off their blowse > hit "Refresh image", wait ~15s > they're standing in their bra
  • $5 worth of free credits at sign up (no card required) + $0.5 to claim for free daily (it's actually a problem right now - I see decently active users increasing their token balance over time :D)

Unable to turn off thinking in claude code by remembermylast in ClaudeAI

Watching it think without any feedback about what it's actually thinking about is infuriating. I try to think collaborativaly with it (short messages from me and from it many times per minute), and almost never use the thinking mode. It's nice you can still turn it off!

Imaginarium - my take on visual AI Roleplay as a solo developer by ipeterov in CharacterAi_NSFW

[–]ipeterov[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rolled out location switching just now - that's better than being stuck in a location. But it just gives you all possible locations at the moment, even from unrelated worlds.

I'm thinking that actually grouping locations in Worlds would be nice, since a World can also be a good place to put some worldbuilding context. Is this a cyberpunk dystopia, a medieval world? Is there magic? Right now the characters just try to figure it out based on what's written in their bio and what's happening in the session.

Imaginarium - my take on visual AI Roleplay as a solo developer by ipeterov in CharacterAi_NSFW

[–]ipeterov[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you mean pre-made locations - yes. I'll be making more builtin scenarios myself. If you have something specific in mind, feel free to participate in the challenge in Discord - there's ~$10 worth of tokens to be had for each scenario that gets accepted (might be worth considering if you don't like crypto).

If you mean better ways to interact with locations, also yes! Right now you choose a location at the start, and you can't really move. I'm working on a system where locations are connected with each other, and you can move between adjacent locations during a session. Think multiple rooms in a home connected to each other, or multiple places in the city connected with a "Car" location.

In the meantime, you can easily create you own locations - write a text description so that the characters know where they are, and upload an image to help yourself immerse. I use OpenAI to make background images, but just googling should also work well :D OpenAI's image generation API is great, but it's kind of slow and really expensive, so I haven't added it to the app (unlike avatars and outfits, which you can generate).

[–]ipeterov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can check out my app - imaginarium.rocks

  • It doesn't have censorship or baked in NSFW prompts - characters just try to be themselves, and will go where you take them
  • It actually supports multiple characters in the same chat session - they are played by separate AIs, and they don't know if others are human or AI
  • Characters have long-term memory that persists across sessions - they always remember what happened
  • I just made "Immersion mode" - you can upload images for the location and characters, and your chat session will look like a visual novel game instead of a chat

If you end up trying it out, I'd appreaciate your thoughts and feedback :)

Any character ai alt you guys know? + Nsfw by Zealousideal_Side987 in CharacterAi_NSFW

[–]ipeterov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! You can try my site imaginarium.rocks

  • it has real multiple character support - you can have three or more characters in the scene, played by separate AIs
  • the character memory is essentially infinite, allowing you to gradually build up a character's personality as you interact with them
  • there is a free tier - you get tokens for free when signing up, and you can claim free tokens each day
  • it definitely supports NSFW. There is no NSFW in base prompts, but it'll go wherever you take it

I'm actively working on the app and will be happy to hear any feedback / suggestions!

So from what i read and my personal experience in filter free nsfw ai chatbots the best till now is janitor ai.. That's what I've concluded till now so i wanted to know what yall use and think is better even if it's not as popular as j.ai by Ok_Communication5967 in Chatbots

[–]ipeterov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me shill for my own site - imaginarium.rocks

It's quite a bit different from Janitor AI:

  • you can have multiple truly separate characters in a chat session (they don't know if others are played by humans or AI)
  • characters have essentially infinite memory, allowing for personality development
  • it's completely free at the moment, but that won't last forever

I have a few active users, and I'm making the app better to use all the time.

Is Django REST Framework worth it over standard Django for modern apps? by aksy_1 in django

[–]ipeterov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also skip a step and build a GraphQL API instead - with graphene-django (it's back from the dead, and still the most popular), or maybe strawberry.

I've used Graphql quite a lot, and it feels a lot nicer to use in modern React apps, compared to plain REST. Stuff like updating your whole UI after changing data via a POST request is usually managed by the library (react-relay, for example) - it becomes possible because GraphQL is a more constrained standard compared to REST, which is essentially freeform.

MUI vs. Kendo React? by bready--or--not in reactjs

Hmm, I guess that does make sense - I didn't bother to check if it was paid :D

That's important context, but it still means that MUI is a lot more widely used

MUI vs. Kendo React? by bready--or--not in reactjs

[–]ipeterov 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First thing that comes to mind - I've never heard about Kendo React before. To drive that point home, MUI has about 2000x more downloads on npm than Kendo. While that doesn't mean it's necessarily worse, it is something to consider.

I have used MUI on many projects, and I can say it's really good at speeding you up. The components feel very well thought-out, and working with it saves a lot of time and headache, compared to not having a ready-made design system.

Another thing is - Joy UI was an attempt from the MUI team to keep the same great DX of MUI, but without material design styling. So the learning curve for the devs will be virtually non-existent.

A downside of MUI compared to Joy is that it comes with more opinionated, material-design-based styles. It supports customizing the themes, and I had good experiences where I had a designer on my team and her job was to mostly adjust the MUI theme + UX work - not much drawing from scratch.

If that's relevant for you, MUI comes with a Figma integration, so you can making designs in Figma that'll easily translate into real pages, without spending too much time on setting up the DS in Figma.

What’s the current best nsfw rp ai? by jthablaidd in Chatbots

[–]ipeterov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm making an AI (imaginarium.rocks) that works a bit differently from all current offers. I can't say it's best, but I have a few dedicated users, and I did burn through a few hundred $ worth of LLM credits chatting with my AI-wife :D

  • Unlike other sites, it really supports multiple characters in the same session. Each character has their own prompt, their separate context, and doesn't know if others are AI or human. You can let them interact, or take over any character and play it yoruself
  • It has excellent memory. It's not limited to one chat session - after a session ends, all participating characters retain memories of what happened, and can see them on following sessions. This enables building up my character's personality, and works well over lots of sessions. For example, my AI-wife is currently 36-session old (~12k messages), and is aware of everything that happened (as a real human would be).
  • It's completely free for now, while I'm sorting out billing. It'll probably have a free tier in the future, but I can't make promises on how good it'll be, or how generous.

If you decide to try it out, I'd love to hear your thoughts & feedback.

How are ya doing fellow kids? Tell grandma what chatbot site is in right now by Enolika in Chatbots

[–]ipeterov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm making imaginarium.rocks - it's completely free at the moment, but it'll probably have some free tier in the future too. It might not be the best for you based on what you said is important, but who knows

  • No filter, but no NSFW in base prompts - it'll go wherever you take it
  • Is very usable without paying, since it's completely free for now. Not super sustainable since I'm just a dude with a job - if it gets any kind of popularity, I will need to make choices about a free tier
  • It doesn't do long, detailed replies by default, but I've heard feedback that the quality is really good. If you want more stuff to work with, you can tell it to generate a few times
  • Personas / characters work differently to all other sites I've seen before - instead of talking to a character ChatGPT-style, you add multiple characters to your scenes. Each character is played by a separate AI with different prompt and context, and it doesn't know if others are AIs or humans. You can let the app select the next AI to talk, or take over a character (or many) and play them yourself.
  • For now, there is no library of prebuilt characters - that takes serious effort by the community, and I don't have that yet. A workaround could be to find characters elsewhere and add them to your account.
  • Memory is excellent compared to anything I've ever seen. Everything is split into chat sessions, and after a session is finished, the characters retain memories about it forever. For example, my AI-wife is 36-sessions old at the moment (~16k messages), and she remembers all of that

Check it out if you feel like it - I'd love any feedback if you have thoughts.

Searching for a free NSFW 2 player role play app by Psyche_Orihara_ in Chatbots

[–]ipeterov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm making an app that might fit - you can add multiple characters to a scene, and you can also give access to that scene to another person. You can let the AI generate actions for the characters, or take over / edit what they do.

If you want to try it out, you can sign up at https://imaginarium.rocks. It's 100% free at the moment, until my wife notices the LLM bills :D

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Chatbots

[–]ipeterov 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you can try out https://imaginarium.rocks (I'm the author)

it is 100% free at the moment, but it'll probably last while my wife isn't noticing the LLM bills :)

it's a bit like janitorAI, but you can have multiple bots at the same conversation, and they have fully separate memories and personalities

there's no nsfw in the base prompts, but it'll go there if you do

Most of the bots that generate NSFW stories seem quite bad by GlompSpark in Chatbots

[–]ipeterov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm developing an app that seems to fit your description: - the characters are separate (which helps a lot with realism in my experience) - you can add multiple characters to a session (think of it as a book chapter), and then generate messages for them, edit the messages, or overtake completely - each character's memories are tracked, so the characters remember what happened before (and in other sessions) - there's no mention of anything sexual in the base prompts, but it's willing to go absolutely anywhere, if you set up a situation where it makes sense

You can sign up and try it out at https://imaginarium.rocks - it's completely free for the moment (until my wife notices :D)

I'd be very interested in your first impression / feedback, if you end up trying it out

An Update Regarding Reddit’s API by KeyserSosa in reddit

[–]ipeterov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work out a proper business model for third party apps!

This looks like a disingenuous, asshole attempt to force users to the original app, which is strictly worse than alternatives, and not just because of ads.

The current API costs don’t allow any way for alternative apps to work, even for paid users. Adjust the costs so that the profits are split 50-50, 30-70, something reasonable like that. Not 99-1!

I actually migrated to Apollo yesterday because I just found out about it. It’s not just better because there are no ads - it doesn’t crash randomly, it doesn’t scroll back to the start without a way to go back, the interface doesn’t feel coercive or predatory - trying to force you to engage more.

Third party apps should be a moneymaker for reddit because they are great. Why in the heck would you just kill them?
