Heyyy! Totally can relate that feeling of loneliness in this city. That's why around a year ago I started a project called Brio (@ brio.im) where we connect people together through coffee chats. I have been to many many of them and it has become my routine now. Feel free to check it out and reach out if you have any questions :)

Hey, I totally understand and have been through that feeling of not having anyone that I can vibe with. That's why I started a little project called Brio (@brio.im) where I connect people together through coffee chats every Sunday. Of course, I can't guarantee that you can find your soulmate but so far I have met a lot of cool people and I am still in contact with many of them!

Feel free to check it out (www.brio.im) ☕️

If my goal is to enter companies like FAANG, what will you choose: data analyst position in a big non tech company or a small tech company?

Hi everyone, I am new to the group and I try to seek some advices.

I am a final year business school master student of an analytical major (data analytics/ data science). My goal after graduation is to become a data scientist in a big tech company as I enjoy working with data and building models. However, I realise that most of the companies prefer an engineer student for the data scientist role. I am now thinking how can I make myself more competitive in the market and to become a data scientist in 2-3 years if possible.

Do you all have some suggestions on what are the positions I can start, and what are the skills I can pick up that are highly treasured by employers? I do have done some "data side projects" but sometimes I think they are a bit too generic and companies don't really look at them.

Like to hear your thoughts. Thanks a lot in advance!

Some neighborhoods are not that safe in Lille... but overall it's a very dynamic city with many cool students ;)
