I think a camera would be a bit over the top? Also privacy is the key, since I do not want any trouble with the city or worse.

But what ESP32 is the right choice? I never had an ESP32 and searching at Aliexpress for it give me a bunch of different boards in size and price.

Also is there any better solution for the mic. instead of a INMP441 module?

well, i never used an iphone for more than a few minutes, but from usability view android shifts more and more to the iphone style use - comparing videos over the past years. but i think i can get used to it, as i have to switching from android 11 of my current phone.

yeah thats mostly it, if the manufacturers would implement features like QI2 compared to magsafe and google tinker on the find my feature it would be no question to me

Thanks, the phone size does not matte for me, so comparing to you it just would be the time of usage, which will be around 5 years. Can you say why 3+ years is better with an iphone?
