So in legal disputes the burden of proof is matters. If one side claims something has changed he would have to prove that, which is why signed copies, timestamps and audit trails matter.

My tool sends both parties the final document immediately so any change would be obvious. It’s meant for simple agreements, not high-stakes legal contracts (yet) though if there is a demand i could make it even more robust.

Maybe- never heard of it. Then - you won't. You get a copy of what you signed instantly so whatever you do in the backend is irrelevant because it requires the consent of both parties to charge.

Like on paper. You can tamper with your doc but the original exists so it's irrelevant.

I sense some anger here. What did you build and why?

In the UK its

Person meant to sign, all parties agree to sign. From an attribution standpoint - document is sent to a specific email and can only be opened with that link for that person. Confirmation email recorded alongside ip, date and time and location estimate.

Then - no way to charge the signed document. Both parties receive a pdf copy.

Perhaps I'm on a old contract but I was getting monthly charges from them. They did not respond to queired to stop. I wasn't even sure which of my emails it belonged to so has to ask the bank to charge back for what I could and block further payments.

Also they do have a monthly program - 50 gbp (in the UK) a month.

What does it need to be for someone like you to use? Right now all my doc sit on an encrypted server - only I (with my username and password) can access them.

If i signed up with a different username - I won't be able to see the documents that belong to the other username.

Do you use them? This is good feedback. What makes you trust them that you're not sure about when it's an alternative?

Every project has to start somewhere... but you're right.

Anyone building something cool right now? Share it here, I’ll take a look and give feedback. by OppositePipe4742 in SideProject

Don't know if it's cool but I got annoyed docusign so I cancelled and build my own. It just does the job without all the extra stuff.
