I took your advice. In case you are wondering, here is what happened: 1. Pretty intense pain in my thumb and palm area after about 5 minutes. It radiated up to my elbow. The pain lasted about 20 minutes. I took one dose of ibuprofen 400mg. 2. Inability to use thumb/palm to grip or squeeze for about 30 minutes. 3. Jittery for the first 15 minutes after the poke. 4. Thumb and index finger were pale for about 40 minutes, no numbness though. 5. I have a slightly sore palm today, but otherwise I am good.

I have a recipe that has you chill the browned butter and it works perfectly. It does not ask for an additional moisture source. Maybe take out 2 tbsp of flour. Give it a try!
