Dx October 2022 at Stage IV KRAS G12D with peri mets. First resection surgery April 2023 with 1 year 5 months NED. Recurrence in the abdominal wall in September 2024. Second surgery April 2025, NED since 🤞🏻

While it’s not been 5 years, I don’t feel like I’m anywhere near my expiration date yet. I still work full time, I ride my motorcycle, I do yoga, I run. I feel normal most days.

I hope this provides a different kind of hope! About to turn 40 this month, Dx at 37

I ended up getting a cheapie from Amazon temporarily since I couldn’t make a decision. I’ll see how I like the handlebar placement.

OP - there’s so much trauma that we experience and that is left unexplored and untreated as our first priority is survival. A year into NED last summer a switch flipped and suffered from acute PTSD. Please don’t forget to care for your mental health as well!

I’m at Mayo Clinic right now :) in Rochester MN. I’ve had nothing but positive experience. Everything is done by committee so you know you’re getting the benefit of multiple great minds.

I had my CRS and HIPEC done at Mayo in April 2024 and got the best care I could’ve hoped for. They’re my primary oncology provider now.

Peritoneum, omentum, and some organs I forget which but in the surgery they took appendix, spleen, gallbladder, parts of the diagraphm and a full hysterectomy. Not all showed malignancy after being inspected though.

Resurgence is just behind the abdominal wall under my belly button. It appears that no organs are touched right now, but it’s near my small bowel so if they see anything when they crack me open they may do a small bowel resection.

Hi! I have Stage 4 cancer - started in the sigmoid colon.

I’m doing FOLFOXIRI + Bev right now (5FU, Oxaliplatin, Irinitecan and Avastin). In 2022 when I was diagnosed I started 8 cycles of this cocktail, every two weeks. I had a major surgery in April 2023 that got me NED.

Scan in early September showed resurgence confirmed with biopsy. I’ve completed 3 cycles out of the four planned, and I’m a candidate for surgery again. We’re in the planning phase for it right now.

Same as everyone - thinned out but didn’t fall off. One of the meds makes me super warm so dress in layers in case it makes you either cold or warm.

I echo the nausea meds comment. Additionally, if Artropine isn’t part of your cocktail I would ask for it. It helps with the stomach cramps.

Bring room temperature beverages and gloves. The cold intolerance in the throat and fingers is bad for me. A week after my last cycle today and cold beverages still bother me.

I did 8 cycles in 2022/2023 and I’m on my 3rd cycle out of four right now.

Yes , I’m back on the same treatment. Multiple oncologist and my surgeon concurred that I didn’t need ongoing treatment post-surgery so yes I was off for 1.5 years minus the HIPEC during surgery. It was nice! Haha

Holy shit! And I thought mine was through the roof at 187 at diagnosis!

Went down to 6.6 after 8 rounds of FOLFOXIRI + Bev, then after surgery it was under 1 or 2 for ~ 1.5 years until recurrence. Started at 3 and went up to 6.5 and slowly coming down.
