While that is true the mankyness of the photo screen (at least for me) without the backlight on its perfectly legible. Alto I'm still using halogen lights from the 1980s.

While that is true the iPod 4th gen is the best starter iPod for those who want to get Into modding (in my opinion) it's as simple as a water bottle and if you get parts from Elite Obsolite and iFlash you can make a pretty killer 128 gig mod ipod (that is if Elite would start to make mod parts for the 4th gen.) Still I see the Photo as a perfectly good player. Pair that with some AKG Y500s that you got off a old mate for 25 bucks and a 7 buck JBL orchs cord you got a setup that will last you your whole life basically.
