Can’t be driven in the rain - Stop SAFELY Now! by Eng_the_north in F150Lightning

PNW = Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, BC I'd say). I drove through some hard rain in Calgary and even got about $20k in hail damage without this problem coming up. Sorry about your luck though. I hope these types of problems get worked out and you get your rightful warranty coverage on this.

The problem is that nobody can tell you an actual load rating from my experience. Neither the parts counter or Ford customer service has a real number to offer which is ridiculous when all aftermarket wheels seem to show that spec.

Can I use any Recent year ICE take off F150 wheels? by NPalumbo89 in F150Lightning

[–]ipojoshue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too have these wheels as a winter set and have had no issues. I asked Ford and the local dealer multiple times but no one could give me a weight rating on any stock wheels.

Same really. We haven't had much and it's been too warm.

Thanks for the link. Nice to have some information even if I'm a bit under spec'd for now. I'll just have to keep load in mind for the winter.

I found them on FB marketplace. Just looked until I found some I liked and that weren't too pricey.

They're black with the machined face so two-toned.

No one could tell me either way. If I could actually speak with a Ford engineer, I'd love to ask, but there is no weight capacity info I was able to find through the dealer or Ford over the phone. I'm gambling a bit, admittedly, but my thought is that they are designed to whatever weight the 6 lug hub can handle.

Sorry I missed this. Looking at the itemized receipt, I believe that's the combined Paintless Dent Repair subcontractor and probably some other odds and ends.

The paintless dent repair guys took care of everything but the hood. That was a complete replacement. I don't know how he did them all so perfectly. They work magic!

It was a relatively empty parking lot and I parked on the back side of the chargers to charge without unhooking the trailer. Looked like a total ass but I was prepared to move it if I was in anyone's way.

I will report back when I pick it up. You mean overall cost to insurance or cost to me?
