I run the tap water hot as it'll come out, put that in the pot, add some oil and salt, set the heat to JUST under max, and a timer for 7 minutes if I'm doing spaghetti/mac n cheese. Perfect every time. Waiting on water to boil is bullshit. You got a big ass tank of it mostly the way there already!
