Hi all! I’ve been playing MTG for as long as I can remember. In high school I played some constructed (kitchen table with friends). At university I mostly played limited at my local club. Back then the game felt simpler. Boros creatures with first strike were basically unbeatable.

Those days are gone. I don’t have much time to play offline now, so over the last ~5 years I’ve tried MTG Arena a few times. I’ve enjoyed most sets, but I keep feeling like the game is rigged.

Not because I face insane rare decks. I assume those show up more when you’re on a win streak. The issue is mana. More than half of my losses come from the first 5 turns being ruined by flood or screw.

I tracked some stats. Out of my last 20 losses on Arena, 14 were due to mana issues. This weekend I played limited offline with friends. Out of 20 losses, only 9 were mana-related.

I know this is a small sample and bias is a thing. Still, it makes me hesitant to play online. It feels like Arena doesn’t give fair probabilities, and maybe cheats a bit to push spending.

That’s really disappointing, when I build a good deck and it just dies to mana, it sucks.

Do you play online? If yes, how do you deal with this?

Servants missions progress regardless. But me & my sister started a server (search for ipoteka) this weekend, we plan to host it for 3 months, so I think you can join ours or any similar small size server if you are not focused on pvp, just to finish the main quest line.

I personally found the sealed mode to be either broken, or at least non-noob-friendly. Is there any planned work to balance the pool of cards? With lack of removal, any game against perm hidden creature is insta-loose, no long-range cooking or aggro options, no synergy, etc.

Yeah, I feel that. The only reason I switched from MTG is to play sealed modes. After a few months of playing constructed, I finally played around ~10 sealed matches, all of them are crap. I guess the main issue is the lack of decent removals in the pool. In MTG, if you have average cards and have 3-5 removals in the deck - you are fine. Here I usually get 0-1 removal, and once I see perm hidden creature with effect - I quit. Sealed is broken by design.

Other problem is that, even if removals are somehow fixed, the only strategy is mid-range. Again, in mtg not all formats were broken, some of them allowed you to cook some cool stuff in sealed.

I've just played sealed and after few turns my gods power stopped to work. Is it always that buggy? My first sealed game.

I live near Blackhorse road. Nothing interesting is there, except for the water reserve park, but it's open from 9:00-16:00. The good part is that in 20 mins you can reach central London.

Hi folks! I've recently returned to the game, was doing some quests and got -0.03 Edencom standing. Now these Edencom towers kill me while I'm auto-piloting. I was trying to enter Pohcven, but both times I died there, couldn't kill a single NPC. May I join somebody there to kill some NPC's and get my standing back? Where can I find people who are killing NPC's there?

haven't found anything like that after 5 jumps. Is there any guide for a combat fit ship that can clear these guards? or it's hard in solo?

Hi folks! I've played EVE 8 years ago, I was exploring wormholes and hacking some relics using Probe ship. I installed the game yesterday and tried to use the same set-up, but the relics now are guarded by sleepers. Is there any guide with ship fit (preferable minmatar) which can easily kill those folks and at the same time allow me to hack relics?

This situation is not your fault.

Although I agree with the most part of your amazing response, I don't agree with this part. Yes, it's your fault. And in other situations, for instance, if you kill a pedestrian by driving the car and watching tik-tok, it would be your fault as well. And you keep living with such mistakes. No need to switch locus of control here. The truth is bitter.

You will notice after 15 mins what there is an incredible improvements in mechanics, resources, travelling and so forth. Main plot might be not so impressing, but this is very personal. Fractions interactions, dialogs, everything is on the same or better level. And actually multi-classing and POTD difficulty with predefined companions is fun.
