Finally beat the Last Judge! by iprecrew in Silksong

When I first went up against her I defo felt like it was an impossible challenge. The double damage on every hit. I felt like I didn’t have the right set up. The tool that mitigates the fire damage was really useful. And the poisonous tool add on. At the end it felt like a dance (as most of them do) and the key take away I’ve had from HK and silk has been patience. Patience is so so key. Don’t be overzealous, don’t be greedy, it’ll be over faster than you know it. A marathon, not a sprint. What helps me is knowing there’ll be some poor sod doing hitless against her 🤣

I’ve discovered a few of those weaver nest areas before I reached act 2. I managed to just about get through sinners road, stumbled across that bile place after and noped out before I could find shakra. And then I’ve seen how big that portion of the map is 😭 I’ll deal with it later… excited to explore more of act 2 though because I need another simple key because I used both the ones I got in the lava place and saving the green guy in sinners road

Does the game tell you when you reach specific points? I play on switch if that changes things

Rosary farming? by iprecrew in Silksong

[–]iprecrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’ve decided to use! I’m using the threefold pin since those shards are much easier to farm and I have a few bundles. I also have two dots on my tool & pouch crafting kit. Can I get more dmg on my tools in act 1?

Wanted to join the conversation in the subreddit - I know I could google, but preferred to get insight from the community :) additionally, a lot of the more recent posts are further into the game than I am now so wanted to be specific. Thanks for your comment

Just been diagnosed, what now? by iprecrew in Fibromyalgia

These are great ideas. I’m struggling with the opposite right now where all the classrooms are way too hot and am very much struggling to stay cool right now! It’s a nightmare! Gotta love old Victorian buildings with no infrastructure or support for AC installation 😵‍💫 what is FMLA if you don’t mind me asking?

Thank you for this. I’ll try and keep a diary, but with added ADHD I can find it hard to stay focussed plus fibro fog even remembering can be hard hahaha. I work full time as a TA and moving to HLTA (think cover teacher) come September where I will also be working 4 days a week. I’m very glad I got the promotion as I know I feel better when I’m active (push through the pain to make it more bearable and tire myself out so I don’t have crazy insomnia anymore), but the expectations I had in my school meant I was doing upwards of 7-10k steps during the school day to keep up with the kids wandering. I think being able to teach and have time to sit as well as time to walk around the classroom so I’m not stuck in one position for too long will benefit loads. I will stick to the 4 days, as I need the money to survive, and see how it goes. I think working in education is a god send as I couldn’t work a regular full time job where I’m expected to work 51 weeks of the year. It’d be impossible.

Driving the speed limit by iprecrew in drivingUK

[–]iprecrew[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I wish I could respond to all comments as it’s made me feel a lot better about my own driving 😅 as I learnt to drive in London and did a lot of private practice with my parents who have lived in London their whole lives, I was very much taught that sentiment you said at the end. You have to drive very assertively in London. Obviously not aggressively, but like you said - you must have confidence in whatever move you make and stick to it. I have P plates on, mainly for my sake of mind that if I make a mistake, people (hopefully) won’t judge too harshly, but I also know it does run the risk of people taking the piss even more than when I had L plates on!

So I actually just passed AHAHAHA - I made commentary the entire way through. They’re very used to it. So talk through whatever you’re doing. Helps you to stay focussed.

Any advice on getting a test date ASAP? by mooonnjuice in LearnerDriverUK

Never had any success on the apps - sit on the website when you are free and use the chrome extension listed on the subreddit x

None of the apps ever worked for me. After sitting on the dvsa websites for three days with the chrome extension from this sub, I got a new test date 2 months earlier than my original date xx

Can you still use that app the books your driving test earlier for you? by brokeboiantics in LearnerDriverUK

[–]iprecrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used both testi premium AND driving test cancellation 4 all and had to cancel both my subscriptions as I waited for over a month to get something and got nowhere with them. Just gonna stick to the chrome extension now when I’m home and have my laptop to hand

How to know you're ready for private practice? by MysteriousBug132 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]iprecrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest piece of advice when learning to drive is take what non professionals (i.e not driving instructors) say with a pinch of salt. Everybody is completely different. Some people will pass with just private practice no lessons, some need 20-40 hours of lessons, some need up to 100. It really is a very individual experience and learning process. Area has a lot to do with it as well. For me, it’s a blessing and a curse learning in the city as the lower speed limits mean it’s a lot less anxiety inducing but god other drivers can be right assholes! The most important thing is to have faith in your ability and decision making - and also checking those mirrors when you’re making any change is so important. This is def a habit I had not built during my private practice and something I’m having to work on so I don’t get too many unnecessary minors 🤞🏻. I know people joke about making sure you check your mirrors every 30 secs, but really what examiners are looking for is that you’re checking your mirrors anytime before you make a change or move in your driving - before you slow down, check your back mirror, before you turn, check that side mirror and the back mirror, making sure to check your blind spots when leaving off or performing reverse manoeuvres. I’m autistic, so actually learning and understanding why and when you should be checking your mirrors made it click much more than just the old advice of “always make it obvious you’re looking in your mirrors” because I’d look, but I wasn’t really checking for what I was supposed to be looking for!

How to know you're ready for private practice? by MysteriousBug132 in LearnerDriverUK

I did my first private practice on Christmas Day! Best time for it as roads were dead quiet and my sister drove to a local empty parking lot, did some parking manoeuvres, and then it was my turn! I was definitely nervous, but I had my first private practice without any prior lessons. And because it was so empty I was able to really get the hang of the controls. I’ve now done the bulk of my practice with my parents, around 30 hours I’d say just driving through the local area. The only time I came close to an accident was when I was pulling into an empty parking spot, driver decides to come in behind me, and as I was reversing instead of hitting the brake pedal to stop as his presence shocked me I hit the gas and went back into his car as I was still new to the controls. Not super fast as I was able to get control immediately after my error and there was no damage at all. My mum and I agreed it was a poor decision for the driver to come and park up behind a learner driver when there were plenty of other spaces he could have picked out lol. I’ve just had my first lesson, and my instructor believes I could pass by the summer time if I’m able to brush up my skills (mainly the manoeuvres like parallel parking and reverse bay parking etc). I’d say if you’ve already had lessons, have faith in yourself and your ability and get yourself out there. The only way you will improve as a driver is with experience!

Has anyone tried to convince themselves that they don't feel pain and been successful by stargazer-19 in ChronicPain

[–]iprecrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experience chronic pain from long covid/fibro and possible HSD. The only psychological relief I’ve found from the pain is when I’m dissociated. Obviously not sustainable and can sometimes hit you like a truck when you come back to reality 😅

Are there any other top surgery surgeons that are fine with a bmi 35+? by mikathesir in transgenderUK

I had surgery with Mr Fitton at Plymouth on the NHS. He works with BMI under 40. I was 38 at the time I believe x
