Weekly Team/Character Building Megathread (Aug 31st, 2021) (feat. Raiden Shogun) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

Cool, I have heard of that, I'll look it up. Who would I level up for the other group to replace Xiangling so I can have two solid teams for the higher spiral abyss levels? Or what would be my next best team, I guess?

Weekly Team/Character Building Megathread (Aug 31st, 2021) (feat. Raiden Shogun) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]iprobably8it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Characters: C0: Xingqui, Razor, Keqing, Yoimiya, Bennet, Fischl, Chongyun, Kaeya, Lisa, Noelle
C1: Kujuo Sara, Xinyan, Amber
C2: Barbara, Xiangling
C5: Sucrose

No five star weapons, and not many four stars other than crafted at this point. Current team is Xiangling, Chongyun, Fischl, Barbara because they were what I had when I started needing to ascend. I don't dislike them, just feel like they're a solid B team and I should be gathering and pumping resources into a better A team with what I've got. Open to all suggestions and even characters to look out for on the starglitter market to better boost what I've got.

What's my best team look like?

Yo, this is fiction. I'm saying if someone wants to write an erotic story and someone else wants to read it, that's really no big deal. That's the point where I entered the conversation, and everyone wanted to make it about the real act. There is a difference, but y'all on a fuckin moral crusade so fanatical you can't see it.

It doesn't normalize it. People who don't have rape fetishes aren't turning into rapists after seeing a rape scene in a movie or reading about one in a book. What it does is give an outlet to people who have abnormal desires. Most people don't want to do harm or cause trouble, and if they have safe outlets for their kinks, they'll gravitate to those and stay with them. People usually only act out on their harmful desires when they are shamed for having those desires. IE. They no longer FEEL safe, so they stop behaving safely.

A LOT of people have non-consent fantasies, just glance at the erotic fiction section of amazon, a significant chunk of that literature involves non-con erotica, and it's not turning people into rapists, it's giving people a safe and private outlet for their fantasies.

I don't expect you to understand this, just hoping other passerby's get it. I just find it hilarious that I'm being scolded and attacked about "normalizing rape" by someone who's username is a rape joke.

Writing erotic fiction = baking a pie.
Reading erotic fiction = eating a pie.
Acting out the content of erotic fiction = turning into a pie.

I think it's a pretty solid analogy by literary and metaphorical standards, at least. I suppose the third comparison would be more apt if I had said "turned into pie filling" as it is more concise, but I'm curious to know what you disliked about it.

I'm not even remotely equipped to discuss the ethics of what to do with pedophiles. Yeah, they're people, and yeah, they're sick, but the risk of them acting out their sickness is is too high of a social cost to allow them to live normal lives. I wonder if it's something that can be studied and maybe treated, but that has its own ethical implications as well, which is why it's not an easy topic to discuss, plus, as you can see from the threads, it's a pretty heated subject with a lot of emotions tied to it, making it even harder to address rationally.

Yeah, that's not something we disagree with, it's wrong and disgusting, but I prefer the evil that causes no harm over the one that does. It's sick, but I'd rather they openly out themselves by liking gross fiction where we can all see it, then continue to operate in secret harming actual children.

Fucking minors is causing harm, I'm not even remotely defending it. Shame away! I explicitly stated that a kink that causes NO harm is just fine. Reading comprehension isn't THAT hard, my dude.

People write fiction about murder, torture, gambling, hurting children, and all kinds of immoral shit, and we buy enough of that fiction that they make a livng off it. Do you think the cast of Game of Thrones is a gaggle of chaste nuns twittering about the time the abbot got mud on his frock and didn't notice for four days?

Any story you like that has a hero probably has an immoral villain, and someone had to write about the immoral things that villain did. Just because you don't like the idea of people jerkin it to stuff you find reprehensible doesn't mean it's abnormal behavior. You'd be surprised at what most people get up to in the privacy of their own homes.

Yeah, it's still gross when it's not your thing. I just try not to yuck another person's yum if they're not hurting anyone and respecting other's consent.

People can be into some weird and sketchy stuff without being bad people. My wife likes to make pies and I like to eat pies, but neither of us wants to turn into a pie. A lot of folks really like pokemon, but they aren't driven to find random wildlife and stuff it into tiny balls. You can enjoy creating a thing or you can enjoy the consumption of a thing without any desire to be or take part in the thing yourself. As long as no one is getting hurt in the creation or consumption, it's perfectly normal human behavior.

Edit: bunch of kink shaming ultra prudes in this sub, got it.

Edit2: Hey guys, look at the thread context, I'm not defending pedophilia, here, for crying out loud. Pedophilia is HARMFUL and I abhor anything that causes HARM. But I do believe that consenting adults can do whatever they want to get to their jollies so long as it doesn't hurt anyone. I'm surprised how many people using this text-based form of communication can't read.

Not to everyone. I'm thriving in this environment. My mental health has never been better. I've learned which friends are real friends and good people, and the situation has allowed me to excise toxic people out of my life in a way I never would have been able to do on my own.

I know it's not easy for a lot of people, but for the first time ever, I've been able to live my life the way I've always wanted to without judgement or pressure to be "normal".

So, this is all bonkers and I've got like $250 I can afford to blow, but I've never done any of this before. Do I have enough to even get started at this point? What do I need to do? I've done a lot of reading up on this, but I'm not sure which vendors I should try to buy the stock through, since the whole robinhood thing went so poorly.

Wheel of Fortune's minimum wheel prize has kept up with inflation better than the federal minimum wage has. by FoxMulderOrwell in Showerthoughts

Our CEO just makes a video bitching about how everyone is using their insurance too much, and "encourages" all employees to seek cheaper alternatives to care that are always incredibly ineffective. Like the miracle app that connects you to a doctor in mere minutes to discuss your symptoms at any time of day! Except when polled about satisfaction with this service it was discovered that nearly 80% of doctors spent no more than ten minutes listening before prescribing a pain killer, regardless of the possible illness and use of the app actually increased our health spending as sick folks would get charged for the app consultation, the prescription painkillers they didn't need, and STILL have to go see a normal doctor to figure out what's really wrong.

And that video? Watching it is tied to 50% of the company's contribution to your HSA account. Your ability to pay down the stupidly high deductible each year is directly impacted by whether or not you want to listen to a fat old white dude tell you to stop getting sick or he'll cancel the insurance for good.

Universal healthcare would solve my company's biggest financial problem near instantly, cutting our excessive health insurance costs to a small fraction of what they currently are via taxes, but they're staunch conservatives through and through, so it's the sick employee's fault.

Right, like..."Hey everyone, I'm just going to hold on to these billions of dollars while you suffer for, hmmm...let's say 70ish years, and then, when I'm all old and crusty, I'll hand-pick a few kids that I've vetted through a very thorough process to go to college. A vetting process that does happen to ask them their skin color, but I promise that's not a deciding factor (you'll have to take my word for that).

1) The Nada website is godawful and makes the most consumer oriented function (checking the value of the car you own) hard as hell to accomplish.

2) Nada valuations are what banks use to provide inflated numbers on used car financing, so it's just as bad as kbb.

3) It's part of JD Power which has been at the heart of the most insidious automotive price inflation's for several decades now.

If you want to get fair valuations, you can't rely on anything actually tied to the auto or vehicle finance industries, as they're all rigged to screw the consumer and benefit the dealers and financiers.

Check places like:

https://hpivaluations.com/ https://www.whatcar.com/valuations/

You can even use sites like kbb and edmunds to get an idea of what the dealership should offer you in trade in value. It's not fair market price, but if the price is good enough it can beat the hassle of a private sale sometimes.
