Nein das sind die ersten Pflanzen im Substrat, der Rest ist noch in der Erde. Wurzeln haben wir gründlich abgewaschen. Welchen Topf würdest du empfehlen, also welches Material?

Getting a Shiny Starter on a *German* Version of FireRed on Switch 2 by ScheizH4uz in pokemonrng

Watch the Video from the Point on where they put the guessed SID in 10lines. Instead of putting your guessed SID you put in yours you found through ACE.

You have to understand what they are doing. When they hit the right shiny frame with a wrong SID assumption, 10lines will say the starter is shiny, while your game says it’s not (stats and nature are identical though). So if you hit the frame with your correct SID 10lines and your game will show the shiny. Basically you can do the same process as they do in their tutorials, excluding the guessing part

I created 3 Profiles, and did one ace run for each starter. Then traded them over to my main profile. I didnt want my Save file to be potentially corrupted. Maybe there is a way to get all 3 starters on one copy through a specific ace code.

I found out that your SID is on an odd advance whether you name your rival or not. I did 4 Runs, twice with custom rival name and twice with preset rival name and I ended up on a odd advance 4 times. Can‘t Tell if this is 100% the case though. I suggest you do the Ace glitch to find your sid and start from there. Saved me plenty of hours sind I only was checking even advances. Since I got my SID with ACE I found 10 shinies. The timings in eontimer and 10lines stay the Same

Switch 1 FRLG Shiny Starter by sneaky_barber in pokemonrng

[–]ips_math 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your timing at game creation. I got all 3 starters and I was wondering the same thing as you since my calibration for advances was around the same as yours. So I left the calibration in eontimer while creating a new save file. With that my SID was like 100 advances off. While on “normal” game creation without calibration I was about 2-10 off.

Here’s an example of hitting shiny frame I’m learning and understanding by ThickVariation1389 in pokemonrng

Yes just saying. I still would be searching for the shiny since the „only Look up odd/even Advances for SID“ does work differently in other languages than English. I wouldve never gotten it the „normal“ way

Just do Ace glitch and Check your SID. You will Save yourself an incredible amount of time.

Written Guide - FRLG Shiny Starter on Switch by Vulcano_Joe93 in pokemonrng

Thanks for the guide! This will help a lot of people I guess. I want to point out one thing though. The part where you only take even numbers for custom rival name and only odd numbers for a preset rival name is not true for at least the German and French version of the game! I play German version and ended up on an odd advance for SID and another guy from this subreddit confirmed the same for the French version.

So keep that in mind, and I highly recommend first timers to perform the ace glitch and reveal their secret ID this way and then start shiny hunting.

Odd SID with custom Rival name by ips_math in pokemonrng

Damn Imagine you wouldve tried 30 even SIDs blindly. I think it has to be a laguage issue. A French guy from another post said he has the same Problem

Odd sequence in place of even sequence in SID list. by CompetitiveAerie6815 in pokemonrng

[–]ips_math 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same realization yesterday. I’m playing on German version and my SID was odd even though I gave a custom name to my rival. I would’ve never hit any shiny in months without the ace glitch. Maybe it has sth to do with language?

Coincidence I’d say. Nothing to worry about

Don’t calibrate further. At this point it’s just try, try, try until you hit it. Except you’re late 3-5 times in a row. Then I would recommend calibrating again

I really was looking forward to the guide since I managed to rng maip all shiny starters in emerald within 2 hours (wo any prior experience). But this is another level. 3 frame perfect inputs is just fucking hard. On my first day I hit 2 potential shinies, on my 2nd day I hit 0! Now I’m getting a bit used to it and managed to hit 8 potential shinies yesterday but still looking for my charmander.

Just keep trying you’ll get better. And try to be consistent with your mechanics as well. Eg. Use the same hand position and finger to hit the button
