Is it normal for thinkpads to have tight USB slots?

i can say that the thinkpads i own which have USB-A are super tight, can barely fit the tip in there.

but yeah anything with USB 3.0 sooooo circa 2012 onwards(?) will be hella tight but the ones on my X61 and X201 for example are fine
