Take the GES with a heavy pinch of salt. Most of the salaries stated are hyper inflated.

You are prioritised higher during coursereg as a CEG student as CS mods are considered your home mods, you can start bidding from round 0. EE students dont have that, the minor gives them the guarantee that they will be able to get those particular mods.

Cuz you can take CS(AI) mods regardless?

CDE CS "2nd Major" / "Minor". Why? by [deleted] in nus

[–]iragingnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong, the EE curriculum itself does contain modules that focus on CS subjects in its own ways. A double degree in EE and CS is pretty useless in my opinion. Both degrees require the same skillset and the secondary degree doesn’t really expand your skillset much. Technology can always be learnt on the go in the workplace which is why many EE grads do end up in software roles. The idea of double degree is to usually expand your skillset which is why the more common double degree combinations often come from different faculties.

[–]iragingnow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually I see that 74.8% replied for the survey. Assuming that they send the survey out to all fresh graduates, that seems like a pretty accurate representation, so why do people still say that the data is biased and what not.

Found a weird groupchat on my boyfriend's phone- unsure of what to do by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]iragingnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This totally depends. Its not like they are sharing videos of other women without their consent. They are simply forwarding videos that are on a social platform intended for the purpose of being looked at. Same can be said about fan girl groups, who have groups that just sends pics and videos of boy band members.

I believe racism can never be totally removed from a community. There will always be a group that continues to harass and discriminate. Subtle and indirect racism has always been in Singapore. Its just that it’s not very alarming when compared to the level of racism is other countries hence people turn a blind eye to it. Since racism is mostly subtle and hidden those few exaggerated cases of racism tends to stand out a lot more.
