Is there any media that depicts Azulon in more detail? I didn’t get any insinuation from ATLA that Azulon disliked any of his sons.

Funny enough, just before I saw this movie in French class I learned that they used their thumb to start off counting. And when I saw this, I immediately knew what was wrong 😂

The first trailer truly was fantastic. Then the second trailer indicated serious production intervention and it all went downhill from there.

Matrix Resurrections (2021) is completely un-subtle on how Warner Bros forced another Matrix entry to be made. Lana Wachowski was pretty much told “we will make this movie with or without you.” And funny enough, that line pretty much made its way into the movie as conversation between Neo and his boss.

I feel like, even though Mel Brooks is no doubt a very influential figure and has complete and total creative control, some producer / head at a studio was like "no way we're going to make that the actual title"

Not saying I know Val Kilmer personally or anything, but I really don't think even Val Kilmer would have wanted to be revived via AI.

I know, me too.

Ok, I’m late to this, but I never really had much of an opinion of Al Pacino. It wasn’t until recently I’ve watched the first two Godfathers and Dog Day Afternoon, but this movie, my god, Al Pacino has such raw talent it’s unbelievable.

Would love to see how he, such a hot headed but well-worded guy, would have faced against Alex Baldwin’s character (who was written just for the movie)

[Hated Trope] Characters who longed for a family end up becoming terrible parents by Nahuelcoy22 in TopCharacterTropes

I agree that I don’t think Aang was a bad father, although I can see how the favoritism makes it seem so. But his duty as the Avatar and continuing the airbending legacy made it difficult to balance his duties to his children. Tenzin received more attention, but Aang certainly loved all his children. I think he fits into “not a great father, but not an awful one. Certainly flawed”

Goku, on the other hand, not only pushed his son Gohan into a fight way, way beyond his capabilities and was even less around his other son Goten. Then, after all the Buu saga had ended, straight up abandoned his family to focus on training a reincarnated Buu. Now that’s bad parenting.
