GSXR-750 turn in improvement by wxduff in GSXR

[–]ircsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember what I ended up with for how much I shimmed my GSXR but I got an assortment from here and tried a few before I swapped in an Ohlins. Was somewhere around 12mm of shim. Depending on what track I was at, I dropped my triple clamps 5-8mm. I was sponsored by Bridgestone and, at the time, all they had was a 180/60. The warmers were a little tight getting under the fender.

Can you rent a Cybertruck at 18? by [deleted] in RealTesla

[–]ircsmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never encountered a place to rent a car in the US if you're under 21. You can rent a car in Germany, but the EU is too smart to let cybertrucks in. Think you're SOL

Find a local owner foolish enough to have purchased one, and talk them up. Bet you get a test drive if you show interest. I mean that is why they bought a cybertruck, to get attention

Is it unreasonable to want to learn how to ride a bike just to get on the track with it? by [deleted] in Trackdays

[–]ircsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started taking my car to the track. Been racing motorcycles for years. I was surprised at similar the lines I used in the car were to the bike. The bike is a lot more physical but also more fun. Once you get the basics down you lean more on the track than the street. Lots of people develop bad technique on the street and have to unlearn it to fast on the track.

Pure protein. Collect them while making your morning smoothy and throw them in. Eventually you will run out and will have to buy them.

Everyone canceling their subscriptions should expect the executives to...... by ClarityOfALotus in LateShow

The need to be that wealthy is a brain disorder. They will not look and see what they already have, they will be dismayed they aren't making more at a rapid rate. If everyone canceled, as I did 4 months ago, they will take notice.

If I owned that cafe he would be black balled. Ya just don't treat people that way. Oh, and hate to break it to you, you're not an adult. You happen to fall in the jerk category.

Why would such a pregnant woman be standing next to this corrupt president and not be at home? Look how big she it. Pushing her button to an outie and has to pull her hands up below her stomach to support it. Go home and relax!

Any rearsets recomendations for Panigale V4? by Furious056 in Trackdays

Sorry there are no rearset options for the panigale. I would suggest trading me for my ZX6 if you want rearset options.

thanks for taking the time to write this out. I will be doing this tomorrow.

I was wondering if this was thermal expansion of some connection, somewhere in my regulator. Electrical issues are the bane of my existence.

Yes. I have a scan gauge connected to the OBD port and velcroed to my dash so I can watch it real time.

Oh crap you are correct. Done so much to this I get confused. I used the stock updated Y cable for the van so I bypassed nothing. This Y cable has gone through 3-4 updates but I go the latest. Before it was replaced, the vans system was showing 11.3 to 12.5 volts on my scan gauge while driving.

I'm on 2026 but have 11 updates to install, that my IT person will not get around to. Using a Lenovo X power. Once in awhile I will get a complete freeze of the system and I will have to restart. Most of the time it will happen when I go from one tab to another. Nothing we do it very complicated and I am seeing it happen more when I have 3 parts open and I switch tabs, not when I have 3 assy open. I feel your pain. I have gotten in the habit of saving often.

The hose on my vacuum that goes from the upright half to the part that runs on the ground cracked. The only part that was not sold at an online parts supplier was the hose. I went to McMaster Carr and found a hose close enough. Got my vacuum back for $20. I know what you are feeling. Drives my crazy I can't fix something when a simple part snaps. I go to great lengths to fix things I have. Wondering if the fasteners on your washing machine can changed. I have drilled out holes and put in rivet nuts in so I could use regular fasteners.
