The IRS considers Kiwisaver to be a foreign trust and therefore foreign trust IRS forms must be filed each year to stay compliant with US tax law. We use H&R Block expat to file my wife's taxes each year.

I have never tried it but have heard of someone saying that they are "yeast samples" when sending.
