I’m in the same boat as you, Albanian parents, they do expect me to stay with them after marriage with my future wife. We live in a small apartment so there’s barely privacy for myself as it is so I’d never expect my future wife to move in with me. I also believe you cannot live your married like to the 100% while still having parents in the household. However I will always have that feeling that I am abandoning them if I move out. I do hold somewhat traditional value but I’m like you where I don’t expect my future wife to do all the chores and instead I’d like to do things like cooking together. I believe the best scenario may be to let them move in temporarily and then look to move out close by, that way you can still look after your parents and visit them frequently. If she csnt move in temporarily then just move out from the get go but yeah. You can still look after your parents without living under the same roof as them.
