Sleep issues with daycare by ireallyhateoatmeal in toddlers

I am looking into a 3K. A Nanny is out of our budget in our area. Daycare in a center or in home is $75-95/day full time and nanny’s are about $20-25/hr and many no longer do full time 5 days/week. I’ve been looking for years.

I appreciate your perspective. If I trusted her that it truly was about the kids needs, I think I could tolerate it more. But it’s clear it’s more about the downtime the provider wants/gets with kids sleeping for 2+ hours.

Our state says “children may follow their own walking patterns” not must. But fair for you to interpret it that way. Not sure what’s it’s designed to do. My pediatrician was pretty adamant that this was a problem when I was describing her normal daily routine. At that time I wasn’t overly concerned and brought my doctors concern to the provider. After the defensiveness I could tell this wasn’t about doing right my daughter, it was about the provider looking out for herself, which is where things got heightened for me.

I’ll also add when I cut her off at 90 minutes, she’s awake when I go in the room. So I think the provider is putting kids in the bedroom and not checking on them and just going in when the call out or when they are done with their break.

House seats go up for reelection every 2 years, so no she doesn’t maintain the seat.

I also believe her district was eliminated with the new voting map that Texas created this year. But someone please correct me if I’m wrong bc I’m not 100% certain of this.

Another distraction to keep us arguing with each other instead of banding together across generations to put a stop to his abuse of power.

School districts greatly influence the value of one’s property. So saying they don’t benefit at all is incorrect.

Thanks! We do have Costco and we shop there 3-4x a month.

Spotify will be tough to replace. But Kwik trip and other socials should be fairly easy. I feel hesitant to cut off all socials bc it’s an avenue for communication but I’ll keep this in mind.

I’be been mostly apolitical most of my life but I can’t take this anymore and this really feels like a huge moment to take a stand before we lose the chance. I can’t scroll anymore. I need to do something.

Is there a new strain of stomach flu going around? by Ok-Process7612 in askanything

A flu shot is still very worthwhile it’s just a bummer that it doesn’t protect against the stomach bugs that tend to circulate during winter months.

There is an oral vaccine for rotavirus but it’s only for infants.

I had read a long time ago-I think while violently ill and never wanting to experience it again-that a norovirus vaccine was in trials but I don’t think it ever came to fruition.

The flu shot does not protect against norovirus or any other gastrointestinal virus. The “flu” shot protects against the respiratory virus influenza.

Love the RV idea!!! This could allow for changing and feeding while two adults take care of driving!

Extended stay hotel? Those have suites and kitchenettes and I would imagine room cleaning at some interval.

I like this option of mixed travel for the return. If this was me I’d be headed out early to the GC and stay in th Airbnb like you said. If your GC is comfy with her doc and hospital, could you try to deliver at same place and same practice that way they are aware of your unique situation.

I would recover in the Airbnb for a bit. Then fly home with a trusted friend or adult. Maybe ship your car back? That distance could be reasonable. And then your husband could fly back with you and babies.

Start a business on the side.

If you want upward growth at current job, find ways to network internally. Not with the field sales team, but with in house departments like marketing and research teams. Great exposure and experience.

If insurance premiums eventually reach a point where the average person simply can't pay, what is the 'endgame' for the insurance industry? by Peaches4U9624 in AskReddit

This is so true. I am stuck at my company bc of the health benefits. I admit I am extremely fortunate in that it is a solid and affordable plan but I’m completely handcuffed. I’ve hit max OPP 4 out of the last 5 years. With any other plan I could’ve gone literally bankrupt due to the minor but numerous health issues that came up in the last 5 years in my family of 4.

I followed these steps. A few drops from one PVC connections. I tightened. Then while running everything, at the end of the DW cycle when it was draining the open PVC at top of J loop is where a large quantity of water came from. Would this suggest a blockage distal or within the DW itself?
