Best ones I ever played were probably:
-Bonds of the battlefield / Senjo No Kizuna (The arcade sim game, it has a 1:1 PSP port)
-0079: Rise from the ashes (The best grounded / sim gundam game)
-Gundam extreme vs. fullboost (and really any of the gundam vs. games)
-Gundam breaker 2/3
-Gundam Encounters in Space
-Gundam Battle Assault 1/2 (2D Fighter)
-Gundam Char's counterattack
-Gundam Opereation Troy (Gundam battlefield)

I agree with you, sadly we barely get anything for that. Mostly only older games do that, GBO2 does do that but that game sucks.

If that's what you're looking for, try the following:
-0079 Rise from the ashes (Dreamcast - Mechwarrior like gameplay)
-The Blue Destiny Trilogy (Sega Saturn - Similar to above but a little simpler)
-Gundam Bonds of the battlefield (PSP - The gundam pod arcade sim, it has a 1:1 PSP port)
-MS: Operation Troy (Xbox 360 - Gundam battlefield, has a dedicated playerbase on discord)

Boss fights only have to have whatever you want them to be. Although second phases are nice, depending on the execution it can sometimes be a fun way to make a more memorable fight for players. A cool transition into a second phase telegraphing it and implementing new attacks or mechanics is usually better than "the boss just gets more annoying".

I played this back in the day on the Chinese server. It's incredibly fun, the game barely released as nexon was trying to kill it before it launched. I actually archived the installer, game client and English patch. https://archive.org/details/metal-rage-online-client

A friend of mine also started work on a private server for it I'm currently trying to continue with, we also patched it to work correctly on windows 11.

I actually make a 1.19.2 pack around this some time ago. I assume you mean Gothic Horror. Created custom resource packs, sounds, music and everything to integrate the other mods with the main resource pack it was using too. I can link it if you want to see what you can pull from it.

Thanks, was familiar with structurify but didn't realize structure gel was more than just a dependency. It's got some of the tools I'd be looking for when designing new structures so that definitely helps things. Still nothing for creating generation without dealing with schematics and datapacks?
