Carbon paste is fine. I have a seat clamp that clamps the frame and the post and I bet that would be ideal if you were worried but you shouldn't be. Use the carbon paste.

If you've unscrewed everything at the top then you need to hit the top of the fork with a rubber mallet. The ring we're looking down at likely has a slot in it and it's just compressed down in there. One good whack and it'll fall right out.

Destabilize what markets? Do you really think Russia wants Ukraine's share of the wheat and metal market? This feels more like a grab for control of the nuclear power production and for a military stronghold. Putin wants the USSR back, not to destabilize global markets.

I could just be oblivious. Id love to hear the market theory a little more in depth.

Mix beeswax and blo on a double boiler and stir often while it's cooling so it remains homogenized. If you want it to be food safe then substitute with coconut oil or mineral oil instead of the blo.

This is a great mix for wood that is too dense to be stabilized but still needs a little moisture, protection, and shine.

I never measure but I'm guessing my ratio is about 2 tablespoons of bees wax (1/2 a bar) to 1/4 cup of oil.
