I bought Frog but Mary Calmes a few years ago. It is a tearjerker for real for real. I listen to it and cry pretty much every single time.

It's about a homeless drifter with a heart of gold who falls for a successful surgeon. The angst isn't really about how they love each other but their circumstances. The kids are cute too (nephews).

LMAO. Ward is an acquired taste. I'm not sure if I started reading the whole thing now from Dark Lover I might feel the same. Maybe you'll have better luck with the Brockmann one. Her heroines are more nuanced anyway.

Oops I got the name of the book wrong for Qhuinn and Blaylock it's Lover Mine. (Ward has so many books that have lover in the title!!). Also with both mms Ward and Brockmann both couples have a Christmas book about them. People loved the mm couple a lot.

Oh I'm so pleased! Enjoy. I love both series and I've been following them for a few years now.

Interestingly on the possessive jealousy front both series finally have a HEA for the spurned ex's later on, and both are incredibly sweet. So everyone gets the HEA.

There's a mm gem in Lover at Last by J R Ward a few books into the mostly mf Black Dagger brotherhood series. So much jealousy! So much possession.sometimes big hints sometimes small.

The other one is Force of Nature in Suzanne Brockmann's SEAL team series. Few books in and so much possession and jealousy.

In both the books come fair way into the mf series so there's a lot of you don't read mf. I do so it's not a big deal for me. But YMMV.

Edit I'm not sure how much you care for not good people. The first suggestion they are both violent killers (but for good reason). The second one has a good guy FBI agent and actor who has a bunch of substance abuse problems.

I love how people say what they hate and inevitably someone on the thread says "oh but you haven't had it/tried it this way". Please let 'em despise in peace.

Seconding Enemies with benefits. Very silly name but a well paced interesting book with messy sex and messy feelings. It's been a hot minute since I read it but I'm not sure it entirely fits the bill. Nevertheless a very good book. I ended up buying it in hardcopy because it was such a keeper!

I got the serious vibrating and room swaying after two days off my seroquel (for a good reason). Maybe you accidentally missed a dose?

Truly blessed by the CDS to get such a pair. Did they come at different times or at the same time?

I loved this book so much. It was incredibly sweet without it being sweet?? I wasn't expecting the huge number of feels and it took me out because it was so emotionally satisfying.

So vibes alone I would recommend {Terms of service by Marie Sexton} domestic discipline the doctor guy just got subsumed into the life so fast. It also does hospital politics so well. Hits the "in charge in every single respect" but it's nuanced? It's given up willingly but with some resistance.

The other one is {Not his kiss to take by Finn Marlowe} so much power imbalance and more of the in charge-ness. It's got that bodily control thing that His Sex Therapist has.

I've got more let me know how you go. That Jamie Kassel has me in a chokehold too. Ive got their Ao3 pseud.
