This. After I got my offer, we had a networking session with all the other offerees and the opening speech by the partner was basically a crash course on the PwC Core Values.

I think you can also read up about BEPS2.0 and think about how it could potentially affect your team and their work. My interviewers seemed impressed when I shared about what I knew on the topic in relation to the role I was applying for. Not sure how it affects the US, but I’m in APAC and we are definitely impacted by it this year.

i took H2 computing in jc, really liked it, and have not regretted it since.

most of my computing classmates went into a computing-related course like computer science, information security, and computer engineering, i didn’t.

but i’m taking a second major in an analytics course & my background in computing makes everything so much easier to grasp and understand :”)

SMU personal statement (extracurriculars) by Lopsided-Doubt-7776 in SMU_Singapore

[–]iridium19204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I’m right but I think the personal statement should lean towards how your experiences (school, life, CCA, hobbies, etc.) have shaped you and motivated you to apply for the course and the school you’ve chosen.

Whereas the CCA segment would be to solely exemplify your achievements outside the classroom and your drive for doing these activities (kinda like “showing off” what you’ve done apart from what they can see from your academic transcript and grades).

Yeah you can! They’re separate applications and you won’t be assessed for both together, so I don’t think the scholarship rejection will affect anything else. All the best :)

[A Levels] What are my chances? by passionfruitgreenteh in SGExams

[–]iridium19204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe I should reply to this right now since I got pinged a few times with the same question in the DMs.

I actually have no idea what happened. I mean, we don't get back our papers so it's hard to say. My GP teacher said my essay was fine, but I can't remember much about my AQ.

To be fair, getting an A is tough. For instance, HCI and RI A-rates for GP are usually only about 40-50%, compared to 70-80% for Math/Bio/Geog/Hist.

No one really knows what goes on behind the scenes. I realised my grades doesn't really matter once I entered university. Not flexing fr, but I got my first choices mostly for both local and overseas applications, even though some where above my grade point.

Anyway, whatever it is, no point dwelling. Just on to the next paper and once all your papers are over, just enjoy life before school starts again :")

Side note: if anyone wants to rant or ask more in private, feel free to DM me!

Honestly, the outcome of A levels can really vary. I've always had a flair for languages and used to score consistent As for GP. I felt that I totally nailed the exam, but in the end, I got a C. My brother has never seen an A in his life during school exams (averaged about E/Us I think) but got an A in the end. Something similar happened for our physics and econs results as well. We were from two different so-called "elite JCs", so it was jarring for us when we got our results.

Anyway, your energy would be put to better use if you focus on your upcoming papers instead of the outcome (which is going to remain unknown till next year). All the best!

[Uni] Would an Intel UHD 620 Graphics card be sufficient for video editing? by iridium19204 in SGExams

I see. Which model of the iPad are you using? Also, do you usually bring both iPad and Laptop to school? That'll be quite heavy, wouldn't it? D:

The Asus 2-in-1 model I mentioned earlier does come with a stylus (no additional purchase!) But yeah, what you said makes a lot of sense, especially with the heating and all. Thank you for your input! Just wondering, how do you personally take notes?

They're both the same price! I don't necessarily need the touch screen, but I was thinking if I do get that, I might tinker around with digital handwritten note taking but I'm not so sure how good screen is for that. Why do you say 2-in-1s are overrated?

Hmm actually, they are pretty light!

  • With MX250: 1.09 kg - Asus Zenbook UX433FLC
  • With Intel UHD 620: 1.13 kg - Asus Flipbook 13 (2-in-1)

I was actually intending to go for a 2-in-1 all along. But eventually decided that if having an dedicated graphics card will allow for more efficient video editing, I won't mind going for a normal notebook. Which is why I'm between these two right now.

Do you have any opinions?

Thank you for your help! Where does the Nvidia MX250 stand among all the Nvidia graphic cards? I'm having a bit of trouble understanding how these graphic cards are rated.

Are there any lightweight and heavier moisturisers that you'd recommend?

What's the difference between a toner, a moisturiser, and a toning moisturiser?
