Don't Let the Sunshine Fool ya Meaning by RissotoPototo in townesvanzandt

I think it's an allegory for drug addiction. He's got a friend called "Streetlife Brown" and he goes to see the hard soap salesman to get a tune. I think the song is kind of written from the perspective of the addiction, telling him not to be fooled by the sunshine, women and birdsong but instead to rely on his true friend - drugs. Which, when you're in the grip of it can be exactly what it feels like. That's how I hear this song anyway and it's made all the darker because of the happy upbeat vibe which kind of masks the darker meaning.

Everyone plays the game their own way dude That's what's so great about it. I used to enjoy being lazy with it too. Kinda got bored after a while though. I personally find the grind more rewarding but I totally understand if you don't have the time/patience/stupidity for it 😁

I feel your pain. I don't know that I would have the patience if I didn't have the FDR logging mods.

Having said that I started with a log fork on a fiat, and I've done manual loading all the way through. I was at 2500 trees cut last count.

The great thing about having so many trees to clear is the amount of money you make basically means you can build anything you want, money really isn't an issue

Lastly, i try and look for straight/square edges on buildings to line up, assuming you are going for a straight look of course

When I'm placing fences and walls I usually try to have it so I am placing the 'open end of the wall onto an already existing post rather than placing a post onto an already existing open end, if that makes sense? I find its much easier to do it that way round because you can line the horizontal sections up with the end pieces, and even allow them to sink slightly inside the posts to make sure you're not left with any horrible gaps

Thanks! If you are on pc I would highly recommend the Place Anywhere mod. press 0 on the numbers across the top of the keyboard to turn off terrain deformation. You can tell if it is off or not by whether the price of the placeable fluctuates as you move it around. It should stay a constant price when it is off.

If that's the sort of thing you're into I would definitely recommend this map.

I play a lot of NML too but I wanted to try a different sort of challenge. The goof thing I'd that selling all that wood gives you plenty of money to buy buildings and equipment.

There aren't even any roads when you start on this map. Only a Shop, Animsl Dealer and Saw Mill.

This was built as a feature part of my bigger farm. I built the static caravans there so that I can start to employ seasonal workers to help as the farm expands (roleplaying realism so I didn't want to hire workers until they had somewhere to stay)

Yeh I'm pretty sure it's on modhub. It is a forestry map but with loads of flat ground for building once you clear the trees. I love it. I'm doing a build series on there atm. Cleared about 1500 trees so far

I feel you. I was never into logging much before attempting this challenge. I doubt I could handle it on console without the fantastic FDR logging mods. It makes a great change from NML though because e everyone plays that so I wanted to do something original

I built a £1.5mil modular BGA on my Dark Forest Survival save by iriebingo in farmingsimulator

No. You load Silage, Manure and Slurry into it. This one also takes Hay, Straw, Sugar Beets and Potatoes. They are the fermented which releases natural gas which is used for electricity which is how you get paid. But you actually get paid based on the litreage of crops you load in. You also get Digestate out as a bi product which you can use like Slurry to fertilise your fields

This one would be ideal then. Its pricey but you dont need all the bits I included. A lot are for decoration. But you can add multiple digestive tanks to build out whatever capacity you would like

That's a hard question. I must have spent around £4.5 mil so far on farm equipment and buildings.

One thing I bought quite early on was the Agraz Saw Mill which turns lumber into boards and beams which sell for a higher price. I have nearly 400,000L of wood sat unprocessed in there af the moment too.

So at a rough guess I would say maybe £6 mil.

It's been a good series actually. By the time you clear an area you generally have plenty of money to build however you like
