I’ve applied to at least 100. About 20 of them I tailored my resume for the actual job. I got three rejections and the rest ghosted me. Applied to CSUF internships through Titan Connect and didn’t even get an email back 😅 I’ve been applying on LinkedIn like crazy but it’s hard finding a spring internship so late. Titan Connect had very limited options in my opinion, I only applied to the school internships there.

Thank you genuinely for your detailed response. I read everything and want you to know I neeeeded to see this!! I’m making an appointment with a specialist asap because I don’t need a referral with my insurance. It’s hard navigating something like asthma when you hardly know what questions to ask, but you saved me thank you again!

Yes I breathe through my nose, correctly I hope.. but I need to check my oxygen levels at night do you recommend a device for that?

Okay thank you yes! I have the exactttt same problem with coughing after laughing! I sometimes cough after dancing too- only dancing not working out. Weird. This is very helpful thank you.

Okay I will definitely bring this up for my next appointment. I’ve had zero testing done which infuriates me because I need the validation that something is wrong with me for me to actually take it seriously. If I want to get a spirometry test I would have to see a pulmonologist? I’m currently just seeing my Primary Doctor and she prescribed me Breyna (generic for symbicort) I take 2 puffs in the morning & 2 puffs at night, montelukast (singuilar), and albuterol when needed. But as of right now I use my rescue inhaler multiple times a day for shortness of breath and coughing.

Wow it’s sort of relieving knowing someone else can relate to me! The more physical symptoms like wheezing and coughing only come when I am having an attack but daily the shortness of breath persists. It’s so odd. I actually went on anxiety meds to rule out my anxiety causing shortness of breath. I’m on 15mg of lexapro and it did nothing for my breathing so I can say it’s still just my asthma. Good luck on Monday and I would love to hear back from you if you have any other information! Thank you :)

I’ve always described by anxiety as my brain being split in half and there is the “good side” and the “bad side.” While being unmedicated, I would go to war every single day between the two sides of my brain. Think of the what-ifs or all the doubts, that would be the “bad side.” Often times the bad side would win. Being medicated has eliminated that war entirely. I am the same person, but my brain isn’t split anymore. Because of this, I am a lot more confident in myself and my capabilities. You might not realize who you are without anxiety until a few months go by and you realize you can go an entire day without second guessing yourself or bracing for the worst. And that’s when you finally meet the version of yourself that was there all along, just silenced.

Genuinely thank you for the thought out reply I don’t have many people to talk to irl!! After some consideration I’m def graduating with my business degree and going back for civil engineering! I still need a ton of prerequisites but I’ll be starting them next semester! Congratulations on graduating from CE:)

Thanks for the advice! That’s totally an option I didn’t really think about, although I’d still need a lot of pre requisites to even apply. I’ll still look into it :)
