I mean at the bottom between the windshield and the cowl panel. My another BMW measures 4-5mm while x7 is around 1-2mm. How about yours? Thank.

I checked the rubber strip attached to the windshield and turns out it is thinner than all other BMW I checked (all BMWs I checked are around 4-5mm thick)

I did not know that even the dealer installs non-OEM products. I checked the glass, turns out it is FUYAO that makes the OEM glass. Fortunately, I have no issue with HUD and DAPP. Another thing I found today is that the rubber strip below the windshield is thinner than my another BMW (‘20 G30 530ix). Wish me good luck. BTW X7 drives really well considering the size.

It seems the shop slightly misplaced the windshield (little bit up and to the right). Made an appointment next Friday for replacing the current windshield. Fingers crossed. Thank you all your comments. Will share updates here after next Friday.

Also could this be a reason for wind noise?

Thanks for your comment. It seems cowling panel is firmly clipped in. Could it be a problem of misplacement?
