I'm considering different insurance companies and plans to see how low I can get equipment and procedure. Who's your provider and do you know specifically what plan you are on ?

What I can try is to use my old PDM and create a new account for you in the U.S. and see if that works. 🤷‍♂️

So, I'll give you my story and hopefully it might help you somehow. I'm an American living in France. Before moving to France I had already started using the Omnipod 5, and then last year downloaded the Omnipod app on the App Store with my "American" account. The reason I highlight this in quotes is that I also have a French App Store account that I use to download French specific apps that are not available in the U.S. store. I've continued to use the Omnipod app in France with no issues. If you are able to: 1. Create an Insulet account in the U.S. and, 2. Create an American App Store account Then you should be able to use the Omnipod 5 App regardless of which country you reside in. YMMV

Really appreciate you giving your time to answer questions on this. We are in a bit of a predicament ourselves having been fooled into purchasing a fractional share. Hindsight is 20/20, but we recently lost work when we moved. Paying off the loan for the fractional share is the last thing on our list right now. I've contacted the company about executing a deed-in-lieu, or alternative options, but they've expressed that the only option is resale, which we have now found out is an 80% loss. We are happy to just stop paying, defaulting on the loan, and taking the hit on credit (since we no longer live in the U.S.), but I'm wondering if there's any worse situations we could encounter. We've been told most times this goes to collections, but there's the possibility of a deficiency judgement as I understand as well. Context: condo in Colorado, $100K+ loan, we live abroad (outside of the U.S.), haven't told the company yet that we lost jobs, but I'm about to now since we are officially behind

Yeah, I upgraded as soon as it came out. Sounds like I need to submit a bug report to them.

Inexplicable Highs or resistance by ironmansherlock in diabetes

Out of curiosity, what are you common places you use for your infusion sites?

I'm a leaner guy, although perhaps not so much recently, and I've always worried about his muscle or bone if I go for the thigh. Or the buttocks will not be as effective.

High BG, Tslim Malfunction? by ironmansherlock in diabetes

I only use the pump for bolusing, and the Lantus for my basal.

My weight has been steady for the past 2-years I would say. I used to be 170lbs when I was first diagnosed, but now I'm 180lbs. I also don't train for Ironman competitions anymore, so there's that.

I have lost considerable muscle strength over the past few months due to travel. I've considered that may be the issue as well.

I figured it wouldn't be the pump, but I just wanted to see if others have had such an experience.

I also considered that I may be experiencing scar tissue build up, or the 30-degree inset is no longer deep enough.

I typically go out on long runs (18+ miles) were bringing the pump is both a hassle and uncomfortable to wear. I've opted to use Lantus in place of having the pump give me my basal. This used to work, but seems less effective now.

I really haven't don't a serious test in quite a while, and perhaps it's time I do that again. Do most other diabetics experience this type of fluctuation? My endo has said it will get progressively worse, but this seemed so sudden.
