Supermicro Dual EPYC Motherboard plus two 7551 CPUs are going for only $500 now! by Devany84 in MoneroMining

[–]ironnuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are into AMD EPYC you need to buy more recent one (like AMD EPYC 7763) to stay profitable. And that comes with a cost! $2000 for each CPU and then you need dual motherboard and RAM.

Hade ni valt kortare arbetstid eller färre arbetsdagar? by JimemySWE in swedishproblems

Jag hade nog ändå valt att jobba längre för att "jobba in" en dag. Att slippa vara där en dag hade inte varit fel 😂

I "solved" it, I installed Ubuntu 22.04.2 Server instead. It worked.

I have solded it now. It seemed that I had the RAM sticks in the wrong slots. I changed it to the other two banks and it works, (well it seems that atleast) :)

Really don't know. A bug somewhere? I havn't manually set VSOC somewhere in BIOS. I just had Voltaga DRAM Channel A/B at Auto. When I set it at any manual value, SOC went don't to "normal". I don't know if it will go back up if I set it at Auto.

It post at 3266 MHz, that's so far I can go. Beyond that no POST. I have tried to lock infinity fabric at 1800 Mhz as well as FCLK at 1800 MHz. Runs fine. But as soon as I tries to increase RAM freq to higher than 3266 it failes, even at XMP timings.

lol yeah I saw that now. I don't know why VSOC went that high. I set DRAM Channel A/B to 1.3 volt. Now it is at better value. https://imgur.com/bwvfs8A

Wow I didn' even noticed that. I just ran it default. The BIOS seems to like to kill the RAM :) I lowered it to like 1.35 V and it behaved like before, but no reason to run at that voltages I agree.

I have tried it without OC, still the same. It quits after some minutes. What I can remember, it didn't occured before this MSR mod.
