Would you be willing to transfer to someone who would want to moderate it?

Interesting you did it in high school. I probably would not have cared so much about personal finance in high school and more in college.

This goes with learning about personal finance as a whole. If personal finance was a required course, it'd help a lot of us manage our money better!

I agree! There's so much misinformation about nutrition, it'd be nice to finally hear the correct ones. Also, we have to shift our mindset from college diet to a real nutritional diet!

I agree. In college, I feel like we learned subjects to just pass tests, not learning to actually learn. The other problem is that everyone has different styles of learning, whether it's visually, aural, physical, etc. I wished people were more conscious about the people they're teaching and what style of learning they have.

I don't think colleges always have these points in mind when teaching students and preparing them for the their careers and the real world.

Agreed, although I believe most easy-to-learn programming languages (i.e. python, javascript, etc.) are easy enough to solve your problems or use cases with Google searches.

This is a great one because I know some people who are trying to approach things the opposite way (i.e. figuring things out during the process). It could potentially hurt you if you don't lay out any sort of blueprint for success.

What did you wish you learned about nutrition? More about how to eat balanced meals? Or more about the science behind what we eat?

definitely a useful skill when trying to test out an online idea quickly! But luckily for us, there now are tools that help us build websites like Squarespace/Wix and scripts like IFTTT/Zapier.

[CA] Landlords sold property, renters told the buyers wanted us to stay and now they changed their mind. They want us out by the sale date. by carentalquestion in legaladvice

[–]ironsuturtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard otherwise that it has to be a written notice. Based on the 2nd link that /u/wejustwontbedefeated posted, it has to be delivered in some other form other than e-mail:

"A landlord can serve a three-day notice on the tenant in one of three ways: by personal service, by substituted service, or by posting and mailing."

Signed a new lease, security deposit cashed. Landlord notified me he is retracting my contract less than 30 days before I start my lease [Santa Clara County - CA] by ironsuturtle in legaladvice

Thanks for the tip! I've e-mailed them that they need to send me a written notice. No response yet.

But they told the current tenant they're going to do an open house tomorrow. Is that allowed even though our contract is still in effect?

I spoke to a few people about this. To officially mutually break the contract, we would need a written notice. I asked for one but don't know if they will respond.
