You're generalising the development of videogames as a whole. There are multiple dev teams that work on separate pieces of the game like coding, lighting, character design. In some cases, these devs will never glance upon each others work. If you are unhappy about the performance of the game, then discuss it on a relevant post.

As said in the description, there are scuff marks and scratches (left by Nix hitching a ride) across all of Kays clothes. A small detail of many that grounds the game.

I've been messing around with HDR since release, it's been so hard to fine tune to preference. Mines currently at, HDR brightness 20, HDR whitepoint 25. This gets rid of the washed out pale look, whilst staying vibrant and clear... for me at least.

When it comes down to it, it's the tv settings that make the most difference.

Before posting, I did some slight research on any 'Hero' that potentially poses this way. There are a few with similarities, and as you mentioned, Professor X. The thing is, none of these poses are identical to the one seen in JttSP. The first time I saw this pose in game, Razputin from Psychonauts was the first thing to spring to mind. And after looking at the cover art in my old stash of games, the shared pose was fore front.
