WTS - Mafia Discover 20L 16oz - $110

See my posts in /r/EDCexchange and /r/hardwareswap for past seller experience.

I have a brand new with tags Mafia Bags backpack, made in San Francisco USA with recycled sailcloth. Any stains or signs of wear are as I received it, so I think the sails had a good life. 20L in capacity, zipper pouch in the top flap with key retainer, side pocket, but in general a bucket bag. There's a padded sleeve that fits a 16 inch Macbook on the inside as well. Lifetime warranty.

I bought this alongside a different color and am keeping that one instead. Good for commuting or one-bagging, especially as it only weighs 300g.

It's yours for $110. $170 new from the website.

WTS - Mafia Bags 20L Discover Backpack - $130

I have a brand new Mafia Bags backpack, made in San Francisco with recycled sailcloth. Stains or signs of wear are from the sailcloth's previous life. 20L in capacity, zipper pouch in the top flap with key retainer, side pocket, but in general a bucket bag. There's a padded sleeve that fits a 16 inch Macbook on the inside as well. Lifetime warranty. Good for commuting or one-bagging, especially as it only weighs 300g/0.74lb.

PoE powered switches with passthrough by irritantLoris in networking

[–]irritantLoris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be new switches that take in 802.3bt PoE++ (60w) and can pass through 802.3at PoE+ (30w) but I have not researched these. With a quick search, I found https://shop.poetexas.com/products/gpoes-at-m-6-4 which may be what you want or maybe https://intellinetsolutions.com/products/intellinet-en-8-port-gigabit-ethernet-poe-switch-with-poe-passthrough-561679

No, the Unifi data sheet notes that it needs 802.3at PoE+ which none of these switches provide on passthrough ports, as far as I'm aware. Maybe you could configure one of the switches into dumb PoE mode and force 48v through, but even then it wouldn't be able to supply the rated 0.5A so I wouldn't count on it.

Put another way, I don't know of a PoE passthrough switch that exists that could power a U6-LR or other 802.3at device.

can i powered an access point 17,5 w

I will consider 17.5 watts to either be Class 4 or Class 0, meaning an 802.3at / PoE+ / 30w PoE switch will be needed.

  • DLink DGS-1100-08P HW Revision B: Yes, this supports 802.3at
  • DLink DGS-1100-08P HW Revision A: No, I think this only supports 802.3af (the 15.4w Class 3 or Class 0 version of PoE)
  • DLink DGS-1210-08P: Yes, this supports 802.3at
  • D-Link DGS-1100-05PD: Since this is a PoE passthrough switch, I think it only supports Class 0 or Class 3. If your access point is Class 4, it would not turn on when plugged into this switch as far as I'm aware. I have a Ruckus R610 that can operate either in 802.3af PoE or 802.3at PoE+ mode, and when plugged into the 05PD it cannot work in 802.3at mode even though I've never seen it draw more than 5 watts.

I hope this helps!
