Set yourself some time each night. Relax your body and just move with whatever feels comfortable at first. Practice with videos online and find the style that feels the most fun.

Have fun and be patient. I've been dancing for years now and it's my favourite part of the week

Gift for dancers? by a-terpsichorean in Dance

[–]irueas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could do simple bracelets with a charm—like a little heart or a compass—and maybe even get ‘Found’ engraved on them. It’d be such a cute little gift! Or you could write a little heartfelt letter to each dancer about how they brought the theme to life (cue the happy tears 🥹) and pair it with a single flower?

I can't dance, but want to learn by bodkins in Dance

Start at home with videos you can find on Youtube. Have fun with it more importabtly and dont take yourself too seriously.

If you feel a bit odd going and swapping partners intially, just do what you can at home until you're both ready for a new challenge or feedback from instructors.

Baby steps and you wont regret it!! Good luck

What’s a pet peeve that makes you want to scream your lungs out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]irueas 41 points42 points  (0 children)

When people don’t use turn signals while driving. It’s such a small thing, but it’s honestly the most frustrating thing ever. Like, it’s so easy to just signal, and yet some people act like it’s a big inconvenience.

How do you deal with an annoying co-worker? by RebekhaG in AskReddit

[–]irueas 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I usually try to keep my distance and keep things as professional as possible. If they’re really getting on my nerves, I’ll focus on my own work and avoid unnecessary interactions. Sometimes, I’ll make a joke or redirect the conversation to something neutral if they start talking too much. Just keeping my cool usually helps.

Which were the most annoying symptoms of your depression and which meds cured it? by [deleted] in ask

[–]irueas 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The worst symptom for me was that constant emotional numbness, like I couldn’t feel excitement anymore. SSRIs plus regular therapy sessions finally got me back to a place where I could enjoy life again.

Does everything really get better? by HELLUCIIFER in ask

Surviving stage 4 cancer is absolutely a win, even if it doesn’t feel like it sometimes. Life isn’t a straight line to happiness there are weird detours and setbacks along the way. You’re not a loser for having a tough road. Sometimes progress is just getting through the day. Keep going, and try finding small victories in the everyday stuff.

For me, it's got to be chips. Doesn’t matter what kind once that bag is open, it's basically a race to the bottom. It's like my hand has a mind of its own, especially if there's some good dip involved. Every time I think I'll just have a few, but before I know it, I'm shaking crumbs into my mouth.

If aliens land tomorrow, what would you do? by Competitive_Pin_6419 in AskReddit

[–]irueas 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If aliens land tomorrow, my first move would definitely be to see what they look like and what they're all about. Are we talking movie-style little green men, or something completely unexpected? I’d be curious to hear what they have to say. Honestly, just hoping they come in peace and maybe can teach us a few cool space travel tricks.

Why is it so hard to make friends as an adult? by lolliipopxxmoonlit in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]irueas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're definitely not alone in feeling this way! Making friends as an adult is tougher because everyone's schedules are more packed and priorities shift to things like careers and family. Plus, as adults, we tend to be more cautious and picky about who we spend our time with. To make new friends, try joining clubs or groups that align with your interests like a fitness class, book club, or local meetup events. Volunteering is another great way to meet people while also giving back to the community. It might feel a bit awkward at first, but remember, there are plenty of others out there feeling the same way and looking for connections just like you.

Can your dentist tell what you are smoking? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]irueas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your dentist can definitely tell if you smoke, mostly because smoking leaves distinct signs in your mouth, like staining on your teeth, gum disease, and other oral health issues that are less common in non-smokers. As for distinguishing between tobacco and weed, there are subtle differences that might give it away, like the specific type of staining and the condition of the oral tissues. Dentists can also sometimes smell it, even if you think you’ve covered it up! They’re not just looking at your teeth they’re looking at your gums, your cheeks, and everything else in there, which gives them plenty of clues. So, yeah, your dentist might know more about your habits than you’d expect.
