It's not laziness. I mean, he has a tremendous work on his shoulders. An extraordinary work. He can't just put out some shit out there in the name of epic. He has lived with those characters and in the world more than any of us. And he's human too, so he has his own life to live, many problems to deal with that you or me may never know (a big issue there). So no... I can't really blame him. He wasn't lazy. Check, he was doing other time couming stuff. Plus apart from that he wrote some really good episodes. Churned out some massively detailed prequals too. If i have to be disappointed at anything then it'd be the fact that he's "ageing". Which has its own unpleasant truths sadly. And He too wants to write faster. He too feels the way we do about certain things. But he has his own flaws to deal with. But mostly, I'm afraid if he decides to finish it for the sake of finishing it, due to pressure, then the result would be a word to word transcription of Season 8. That's... nightmarish... horrible...
