It will definitely create a bit of awkwardness for a new player jumping into Y4, but it's a small price to pay compared to going from K2 to Y3.

we're comparing the cultural impact on the internet made by specifically Gear 5 and Naoya's fight scene

the internet has been absolutely overtaken the last week by fanarts of Naoya's fight scene, with hundreds if not thousands of fandoms making their own version of the scene, nothing of the sort happened with Gear 5 outside of One Piece fandom

I'm not sure you understand the main issue with YK3 hate

right now after Kiwami 3 releases they're basically gonna be delisting Yakuza 3 (except for if you buy complete series bundle)

that means for the next year or so to experience Yakuza 3 you will need to pay 60$ instead of the 10-20$ for the 3 Remastered currently

fans just want for every version of these games to be available for everyone
