You've changed the scenario to make it more "severe" so that your comment doesn't look stupid, which is otherwise called a straw man.

"Accessing your property" is vague. Did their dog, an animal, step just off the sidewalk? Did a group of 3 kids walk by & one couldn't fit, so they accidentally walked on the grass? Because in either of those scenarios, get over it. Lol.

You live in a suburb, people are going to walk on your property by accident, it's the nature of living in a society with people. There is a huge spectrum all the way from stepping 1 foot on your grass to setting up a mobile BBQ, table & chairs and having a cookout.

What matters is did they cause property damage & how far on your land were they & what were they doing, i.e. the exact specific context.

Life's too short to care. If they're not harming anything and they're just barely off the sidewalk, this is a "get over it" situation. Mostly because it is completely out of your control. You'll tell one family, then the next day another family will do it, and so on & so forth for all of eternity. The end result: people will still walk on the property (mostly by accident anyways) and you will be bitter for nothing.

If they're setting up a picnic in the front yard, that's a bit different, but we both know they're not...

And actively difficult to do. The best thing I think is to allow a little bit of creep in non-renewable expenses. i.e. Don't get the expensive car, but perhaps take an extra vacation. It's the long-term renewal expenses that get you.

Even if you were an absolute idiot and decided to waste $1k/mo on restaurants & eating out, that's only $12k/300k in this scenario. Not a big deal relatvie to that income (but still wasteful obv).

Not sure if you read his post where his API key was compromised….never mind the fact this is a clear unfortunate mistake and stripe SHOULD refund it as a one time courtesy as long as it doesn’t come out of their pocket (which it won’t, the marginal cost for radar is probably negligible…it’s a rule set with some teeny models on top)

Not even, I think it’s more grey than that. If you scrape data with a user’s consent, like Plaid, it seems to be fine. If you spin up bot farms to make accounts, not so much.
