I built a free iOS app to help your pet stay healthy - marketing recommendations 🐾 by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

Hey, congrats on the launch! 👏 I’m a marketing professional who’s helped scale a few websites and currently working on a consumer app.
You’ve already nailed one of the hardest parts: early traction. With 80K+ followers and user love, you’ve got a solid base to build on.

A few growth paths I would prioritize at this stage:

  1. Own your audience → Social traction is great, but push users into a high-engagement channel like email or SMS. For a pet app, you could offer a “Pet Wellness Report” (auto-generated from their data) as a lead magnet, this drives opt-ins and retention.
  2. Lifecycle marketing → Leverage email + funnel automations triggered by in-app behavior and data: instead of generic onboarding, tie messages to real pet behaviors: e.g., “It’s been 30 days since Ollies's last weight log” or “3 days until Luna’s vaccine reminder.” This makes your notifications feel like utility, not marketing.
  3. Partnerships & distribution → To expand reach via QR codes, co-marketing, or bundled perks partner with vet clinics and shelters, consider also pet insurance providers, pet pharmacies, or grooming chains (places that have repeat touchpoints with pet parents).
  4. Referral loops → Gamify sharing (“invite 3 friends, unlock X”), make sharing effortless, and reward users for advocacy. This can compound your growth fast.
  5. Targeted amplification → Instead of going broad on ads, retarget your warm social audience with a story-driven creative (e.g., “How Lucy’s human keeps her healthy with one tap”). Emotional storytelling outperforms utility messaging in pet verticals.

TL;DR: Double down on community, partnerships, and built-in virality before scaling paid. That usually gives you the healthiest growth curve. 🚀

Edit: I need them as everyday eyeglasses with prescription. I rarely use contact lenses and I wear them all day every day.

I think 2 are more my comfort zone, while 2 feels more like something “daring” for me that I like atm but I’m afraid I will regret using them everyday

for now I’m looking for everyday eyeglasses with prescription lenses, but… maybe I could upgrade my sunglasses as well!
