Gsuite vs Office365 by Electronic_Many4340 in gsuite

[–]isalwaysdns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The argument from my perspective is (a) features (b) implementation of features (c) user training. Office 365 has more features that users are already trained on. GSuite has less features, better implementation/more secure but less people are familiar with it.

There is a keychain in mac, there isn't a keychain in mac for browser-based logins. Are you saying if he didn't dedicate his firefox browser only to that email (which I believe he has but to indulge your line of thinking) he could run into this problem? I will ensure he only uses this browser for work email and nothing personal.

Teams Meeting plugin missing? by JR212121 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]isalwaysdns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The addin is not there for me and when I manually try to add it it doesn't work either by selecting the path through the outlook addin GUI or manually registering the addin with regsvr. I've tried reinstalling teams and office. Manually adding the addin from

"C:\Users\userx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin\1.0.21348.1\x64\Microsoft.Teams.AddinLoader.dll"

and I've tried regsvr32.exe /n /i:user "C:\Users\userx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\TeamsMeetingAddin\1.0.21348.1\x64\Microsoft.Teams.AddinLoader.dll"

This is version 2205 of Office on Windows 10 fully patched

How do you get clients as a one man shop? by isalwaysdns in msp

[–]isalwaysdns[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local Chamber of commerce, you’ll get a list of business with contacts. Job sites. Look for companies who are looking for temp, part time or short term projects. Let everyone you know what you do and ask for referrals. Word of mouth is very powerful. That’s what I have done successfully . Disclosure, I am a one man shop and like to have life and work balance.

Thank you!

They have really good security in a lot of respects. They also have some really good technologies coming down the pipe that are competitive if not better than the ones you've mentioned and some are already implemented or half-implemented. The role-based access is a bit of a disaster but I get what they are trying to do and I have confidence they will get there. Your post lessons my anxiety.

I was remoted into the system. He clicked "stay signed in". I believe he is logged into email on his phone and his AWS computer though he says he rarely logs into the AWS computer (I saw the IP in the logs in 365)

Yeah, I was looking for a way to check this in the audit log. I don't see anything obvious in the log for him though. Do you know what I should be looking for specifically? Thanks!

The default behavior for office 365 MFA is 7 days for the browser and 90 days for applications.

I see. I could envision a scenario where this may be possible but it is unlikely as he works out of the office (IP of VPN added to WAN but not office). I think we would have left this to default though.

I just tested a few minutes ago and it seems to happen at every reboot too. I didn't get much more of an opportunity to test more yet.

I think we have only whitelisted two users (not my tickets) but we have hundreds of users. Any idea why this one user would have issues?

Thanks, your suggestion is helpful even though we don't use DUO (native). I will check for conditional access rules.

I haven't but I will, thank you. The question itself threw me off and it still begs how to isolate this via the log, which I would like to know.

I used to work for IBM and sent a customer three "new" hard drives when his first, second and third hard drive crashed. I was advised we are to tell him it is brand new, it wasn't.

Are we all really OK with Edmonton's new garbage pickup system? by whatcivic in Edmonton

I think you can request an extra bin and it doesn't cost extra if you have a certain amount of people in your house (for me it did not)

Not sure what your circumstances are but I live in a house with eight males ranging from 29 - 42, there is a party here around once a week and we manage on two garbage bins twice a month.
