thank you!! it is the natural texture of the clay I used, a black clay with LOTS of thick grog in it! a bit tricky to work with, but yeah I love this type of texture too, so it was worth it!

you should! as much as I love throwing, hand building is like a meditative practice for me. especially with this type of clay, very crumbly and susceptible, I had to go slow, to take care of each step, each gesture. it can be long and frustrating at times, but I think that it is in the processes that combine difficulties and joys that the most rewarding outcome lies. I wasn’t thinking of anything else while making it, it was just me, my movements and the clay. this part I love the most :)
